Blind person has been done before on the OZ version in season 7. Gerrard Gosens, partnered with pro Jessica Raffa, reached the semi-finals. His dancing wasn't very good, but he and Jessica were trying their very best. At least he was better than some contestants on Strictly this year. O, and his guide dog was ueber cute.

Would be interesting to see how Stevie Wonder would cope.

I seem to remember they coped pretty well with Marlee Matlin's special needs.

Different special needs but I'm sure they'll cope again. I wonder who they'd choose to partner him? I think Kym would be good - but she is my favourite female pro on DWTS

Some strong rumors (or even confirmations) on these pros: Derek, Tony (he's meeting his partner this Friday), Mark, Val.

Lots of baited breath waiting to hear about Tristan and Maks, but no word yet, though some tabloids are saying Maks' out but seems to be based on last season one-off comments and nothing concrete.

Females: Cheryl, Peta, Chelsie, Anna, Karina, Kym. Looks like no Lacey.

Derek and Cheryl have basically confirmed they'll be on Season 14.

Strong rumor that singer Gavin DeGraw is one of the contestants. Last season, it seemed that PeeWee Herman was confirmed - he was at multiple shows. Katie Couric a possibility. Maybe Bruce Jenner. Ryan O'Neal a probability.

Oh and 90 year old Betty White has been tweeting with Derek Hough!

Two other possibilities for Tristan: Lara Spencer, a tv presenter for Good Morning America, on ABC - 5'7", 42 years old, and has a tv show which would promote her - and Dancing with the Stars itself is on ABC. An often-correct scoopster is saying that the last unnamed female celeb is a "Disney" star, and Disney owns the tv network ABC. Also, Nancy Grace will be on the show tomorrow when the cast is revealed, and Lara's husband works for CNN, and Nancy works for CNN, as well.

The other one is way-overweight tv-chef Paula Deen, who is 65, 5'5", and from Georgia, the same state as Nancy Grace, and she's recently been diagnosed with diabetes.

I'm hoping for Lara or Annika, rather desperately. Tristan just did his time with a 52-year-old overweight lady - the others are trim and a good bit younger.

Think that's a bad move on her part can't see her fans being thrilled about her doing DWTS rather than Strictly but she is very keen to crack the US market.
