Stolen from another forum but, Breaking News - this game has been reduced to 30 overs a side due to the length of the Sri Lankan national anthem.

I'll no doubt upset a few DS Asian supporters but I love a World Cup outside of Asia.

It's 12 degrees Celsius in Christchurch . The Lankans are gonna love that!

Yeah especially the scorecard. You can't even see the slip fielder(s) when the ball is bowled!

All too easy for New Zealand and it's only 7 overs in

Malinga looks like he's spent his long injury layoff overdoing the pies.

Hmm, Sri Lanka are pulling this back.

Somehow I don't see England getting within 100 runs of this Australian total

Then again, who expected anything of England?

Moving Taylor from number 3 has got to count as one of the worst decisions we've taken in a while

The selectors should have swallowed their pride a whole lot earlier and brought Stokes into the squad if they were thinking of dropping Bopara

Wouldn't be surprised if we don't bat the full 50 overs here

    oh, separate thread........:D

    England 50-2 after 10

At this rate we'll get 250 but you fear we'll be bowled out before we reach that.......

We really do make cricket look difficult, all out for less than 150 on the cards?

Not going to do our net run rate much good should we need to rely on it

    Another failure for our Captain

Australia taking the P now........putting on the second string bowlers to give them a run out

I don't suppose they're that worried about net run rates !

Looks like Taylor has decided to give it a whack !

Game was drifting with Aussie putting the second string bowlers on and England trolling along at 4 or 5 an over when they need 10

Taylor has started to whack it around.......:D
