I'm shocked that the doctors we have seen shortest have biggest popularity. I mean, Hurt appeared in only one episode (and he is very overrated IMO).
As for Capaldi, I really liked him in the last scene of The Time of the Doctor, but it's not enough for me to get any attitude about him. I don't understand how he can be either popular or unpopular before we have not seen a single episode with him. I believe he could be the best Doctor (last scene in TOTD is extremly promising) but that we still have to see.
On the other hand, David and Matt are Doctors at which I got used to and which are 'MY' Doctors. I am very sad that these 'full-time' doctors are less popular than those that have appeared only once or never. And I'll protect them to the end!
