I'm not surprised. I think she is referring to Kathy's return from the dead and the tedious love triangles.

She on The daily express front page talking about old fashion values https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CIIjqZwWgAA5hcb.jpg:large

Probably said something that's been blown out of proportion as per usual.

LOL nobody cares what you think Babs. You can't make your mind up whether you wanna be there or not.

I thought she was most vocal about EE's misgivings when Pat died? Very justifiable but nothing will top that clanger so how she can say it's worse now than then, I'll never know

Have you even read the article, judging by the other article on the other paper it may have been taken out of context

Just read the article. Yes the Mirror are setting their own agenda. She wasn't even speaking to the Mirror, it was an article in a woman's mag.

However I still can't abide the woman. I hope she never returns to the square full time. She has a high opinion of herself. >:(

I agree with babs here. Eastenders has lost the plot and is becoming more and more unreconisable as the iconic show it once was.

I have to agree with her, all this rapist getting away with it and now trying to adopt a child with CF, has really put me off..

If it's the same article I just read it's nothing to do with story lines. It's about the younger cast members always being late and not rehearsing enough. She goes on to say that she prefers things being done "old school" and that June Brown has commented she should give a "masterclass" of acting to people starting out. There's a mention of the Jessie Wallace argument and Bonnie Langford, but that's it - It's just Babs getting her 2 cents in.

When reading the article, she does not even mention the state of EE, plot or storyline wise. The headline is very misleading, but it is a red top after all.

Infact what she has said, is pretty much what she said a couple of years ago in another article. It is just Babs reminding us she hasn't croaked it yet and she is still around. Perhaps she should stick to her Bingo ads. ;-)

At least she is not being bitter and saying the show should be axed.:) I do not see the problem with past actors/actresses having an opinion about the show they used to be on.

What exactly has the thespian Barbara Windsor done other than Eastenders, Carry On and Bingo adverts? She claims the shows young actors need a masterclass in acting?

I do not associate the name Barbara Windsor with Academy Awards, The Golden Globes or Emmy Awards. I have always thought her acting to be shite basically, even in Eastenders. Why she is so loved is a blooming mystery to me.

Although I'd never say that Barbara Windsor is a great actress and I can take or leave her myself, she was trained in the old school way where turning up on time etc was the norm. Personally I think it's just bloody bad manners to repeatedly turn up late because you're inconveniencing other people and perhaps delaying the shoot. She might also be right in that if they spent less time looking at their phones at work and used that time to rehearse/go through their lines again they might put in better performances. Basically she thinks they should just be more professional I guess. She's been acting a long time so must have noticed a difference between the young actors of yesterday and the ones of today who sound like they take it all for granted instead of realising how lucky they are.

As to what as she done other than EE, Carry on and bingo ads? Rather a lot!

Personally I don't put much store against awards, I reckon a lot of the time it's just because your 'face fits' or your flavour of the month (or dare I say it, the right people have been cajoled/paid off to vote for someone lol!)

Good post. I imagine some of the antics of the younger cast members can be frustrating for the old school members. We know a couple of cast members got suspensions last year for bad behaviour, wouldn't surprise me if they kept quiet about other cast members getting suspensions too.
