Exactly this. The fact he said 'F off' proves he thinks being gay is a bad thing.
I've been called a lesbian by sexist males I've stood up to, and I have objected, not because I have a problem with lesbians, but because I have a problem with people throwing it around as an insult.
James is a dick. He seem to be spoiling for a fight and although I didn't like what Gary said he was I believe just following through the joke already with James and Lesley. I read up on Gary's brain injury and it mentions that the individual can have like 'filtering' issues with communication. Even though Gary can be direct, he was more gracious and went out of his way to try understand how James felt and apologise, he didn't call James any names unlike James.
Gary was in the wrong there. James did overreact a bit, but Gary was definitely in the wrong. When Gary said "Are you gay?" and the other references to being gay that he made, he was using being gay to make a joke. I'm gay myself and I wasn't offended as it atkes a lot more than that to offend me...but I can clearly see why some people would. He wasn't just asking James if he was gay as if they were having a normal conversation. He was using it as a joke and to take the p***. I agree that James overreacated a bit, but Gary behaved like a child. I can see why they are all so irritated by him. He's 70 years old but is an extremely immature old man.
I agree he had a right to confront Gary over what he said but pretty pathetic to effectively threaten an old man, even if the old man had been out of line. He does seem like a bit of an arse, but early days.
Oh and if it came down to it I'd take Gary via first round submission.
Well I like James and I like Gary as well I don't feel I have to pick one or the other.
Gary appears to have no "filter button" and that seems to be annoying not just James but some of the others as well, a few of them have said so. This can happen in people who have had brain injuries and his statment that he didn't remember what he said along with his confusion on the opening night makes me think he has more problems as a result of his accident than maybe he lets on.
James is very confident and sure of himself and I think that will get annoying as the series goes on but I do think he genuinely was surprised by what Gary said and offended some people would have let it slide but James doesn't seem to be the type to do that and I find it odd how some people shout about "keeping it real" being so important but when somebody does react in an honest way they call him names
I don't like either of them so I feel the same way.
I actually quite like James but that was a bit of airtime seeking. I can see how the Strictly Producers got hacked off with him.
I think he's a grade A twonk. Regarding Strictly, he was going on last night in the late live feed about being annoyed at the way the VT's on that show were cut. Something about him being a much bigger character than the other dancers but the VT's didn't reflect that. He really seems to have quite a ticket on himself that JJ.
Gary to Jame's
I've already forgotten about it......
Preoccupation about spent time.........
I do not know your routine of negativity and restriction...........

Pretty much shows Gary's mind works well.....
Think it's a bit "pot, kettle" to suggest the UK is more negative and restricted than the US ^_^

But don't forget folks he is good for the show. We need spikey characters in there to add interest and talking points to the programme.
