No messing around, that's a good opening day programme. Triathlon, track cycling and swimming the highlights for me.

Bowls is to the Commonwealth Games what equestrian events are to the Olympics.

The ceremonies are nice and that, but bring on the sport!

Looking forward to the Brownlee brothers tomorrow.

Judo and Wrestling for me. Nothing better than watching hunky men throwing each other around whilst I nibble on my croissant.

Is it the men's and women's judo today?

I am looking forward to seeing miss Gibbons perform again after her London displays!

Pretty sure her category isn't until the weekend mate.

Ahh, ah well, I will still watch anyway, as that sport (judo) does interest me, and I like it! :D

not sure if there's much in the way of English interest today apart from the triathlon.

edit: forget what I said, there's is some English interest today, in the bowls. the badminton, the hockey, the judo, the squash, the swimming, ( not netball though, England don't play their first match in that til tomorrow). think triathlon is England's main medal chance today though.

The schedule on the official website is not displaying correctly, the formatting is not working well on firefox and chrome.
No events show on ie, and no events show on the iPad using safari or iCab and the formatting at the top is not correct.

    Shown here

can't believe they're showing the new Zealand vs Guernsey match of all matches, of the 3 matches taking place this one likely has the least interest of people in the UK.

I suppose they can only feature one match at a time and must cover everyone. It's probably prime time viewing down in NZ. Bit scunnered I missed the haka, though.

Whats the situation with the Red Button?

I mean how many streams are they planning on using on the red button and will they differ to the BBC 1 line up?

England are totally dominating here, the commenators could seem a bit more enthuastic about it.
