Of all the great things the game has done recently (self-pass for one) to speed it up and make it entertaining, here's a new one.
At international and top level, instead of having two halves of 35', let's butcher the game and have four quarters of 15' (with clock stops @ penalty corners and after goals - that's a good thing IMO).
So the game flows, whistle blows, we all stop for TV ads. If it was football and the game stopped half-way through the half for ads (er, coaching time-out, I believe) I think there might be one or two protests.
Don't do it, hockey...IMO (not that a mere club slogger's opinion counts). >:(>:(
