    click on your friends
there is a blue box next to the name
hover over it and it says unfriend

block them as well if you want

Go to your profile, open up your firends list.

Go to that particular friend and on the right hand side is a button that gives their 'permissions'. Open that and select 'unfriend'.

Alternatively, if you want to be diplomatic, leave them as a friend but just set them so they don't see status updates, photos, or whatever you don't want them to see.

Why delete friends when you can just hide them instead? I think it's quite blunt and rude. Unless they've done something wrong, in which case it's a bit more understandable.

Apparently facebook is changing again soon and will start telling people who deletes them  That's going to cause some nasty arguments!

Nothing new, that - there's plenty of apps and add-ons that already do that for you! Obviously all it does is keep a database of your friends list, and when people fall off it, they've unfriended you or deleted their account! It's been live on the BetterFacebook for as long as I've used it.

Sorry, this is wrong and will never happen (from Facebook anyway).

Did they have facts? I can't see Facebook allowing it.
