As far as I know, I've never met this guy before. But his sexism and self-pity was getting on my tits. That and the fact that he posts on a reddit board that follows a fairly messed up ideology.
And to be fair, Steinem's Gender Feminism is pretty toxic to me.

I am slowly recovering - but this is a grief cycle that was delayed by 30 years and only started at the beginning of 2014.
The fact that the cognitive dissonance brought on due to a whole raft of messages that collapsed down to "although you are a victim you are brought it on yourself because you are still a rapist because of your Y chromosome, and therefore don't deserve to exist"... yeah - I basically shut down.
Completely derailed any sexual development - as that part of me was developmentally around 8 due to Asperger sociosexual development delay...
And I think I felt personally REALLY insulted by Watson "offering" the opportunity to serve women - as Steinem's fish don't need bikes pronouncement was loud in the media when the abuse was happening as well.. In MGTOW circles, the thought went up "Oh - NOW the fish want the bikes back?" And when coupled with the "regain those bits of themselves that they dropped" - well- that is neat Valerie Solanas, where Solanas described men as even lower than animals. I think she said that men were walking dildos, or something to that effect.
If there had been an apology to the effect "We said we didn't need men - sorry guys, I want to take that back.. we DO need you", rather than imperiously "offering an invitation" to "help" build a matriarchy where men can effectively "earn" their humanity back... it might have been a little more welcome...
