PVR9300, last night decided to move the Humax in to another room, when set up no signal was getting to the TV, bypassed the leads from the Humax and all was OK, tried again going through the Humax and again no signal, thought the Humax had developed a problem so decided to try my daughters 9150 and exact same problem occurs, also tried in another room with both units and the same problem happens, any ideas ??.

Are you using SCART or HDMI? If SCART are you sure the lead is being plugged into the output socket?

On the 9300 used HDMI and on the 9150 used scart, yes plugged in via scart output (TV scart) and tried 2 different scarts.

Define "no signal". Do you mean that when the aerial lead is plugged into the Humax and then on to the TV that the TV receives no Freeview signal but does if you plug the aerial directly into the TV?

Or do you mean that the TV gets a Freeview signal via the aerial but you cannot get any output from the Humax to appear on the TV?

If the former, was the Humax on at the time? It may be a setting in the menus that sets a low power standby mode. In this mode the amplifier inside the Humax that feeds it's own tuners and the TV out socket is turned off so you get no aerial signal passed on to the TV. This will also happen if the unit is powered off at the mains.

I will assume that it was not something silly like you forgot to plug the lead from Humax aerial out to the TV aerial socket or got your leads mixed up and managed to plug the aerial into the Humax aerial out and the TV into the Humax aerial in. :)

If you mean the latter then maybe the TV is not selecting the input the Humax is plugged into correctly (or you aren't :) ) If the TV is set to the Humax input and you bring the Humax out of standby you should at least see the Humax boot up screen even if there is no aerial signal for whatever reason.

Thank you for your reply, you are quiet correct it was something silly :), the RF cables were mixed up, instead of been to the TV it was to to wall outlet and the wall outlet one was in the TV. Thank you.
