Me too. My brother and his mates watched it once, I wouldn't look at it. I had to leave the room because even listening to it was too much.
Is that the '3 guys and a hammer' video? I couldn't watch that either. Somebody tried to give me a blow by blow account of what happens in it and I couldn't even listen to them.
Worst i've seen is probably the Chinese woman in high heels who drugged a kitten and proceeded to put the heel through the kittens eye and head.
I'm no animal lover but that was grim.
It was years and years ago, I think she eventually got tracked down and arrested.

Yes, that's the one. I've seen some fairly nasty stuff online but even hearing some of the audio was too much. I talked someone else out of watching it once. I told them they would never be able to forget the sounds.
LiveLeak isn't the same thing as such but it has thousands of links to news stories showing things you wouldn't ever see on tv such as terrorists and robbers being shot etc.
Worst thing I saw on there was the aftermath of a train crash in India. If you had seen it in a film you'd have thought it was fake. Really weird.
I try and avoid any graphic videos, as in the recent beheadings, and anything to do with animal cruelty. I've had to skim past a lot of this thread as some of the descriptions are very disturbing. However, one thing that really upset me was shown on the main tv news channels some years back, and that was the murder of two British soldiers who wandered into an IRA funeral. The footage of them being chased by the mob and getting caught, and knowing what came next really preyed on my mind, and is something that I haven't been able to forget.
For me the worst ones are streetfights or where someone just gets attacked and takes a severe beating.
I hate uncontrolled violence of any kind, makes me feel sick.
Yet I love controlled violence such as MMA and boxing.
The internet is a sick place, worst thing I have ever seen was a man who had been cut in half by a train still alive on the tracks, Facebook and it plays atomically so you can't stop it. I have left the site now too much sh*t like that.

Extremely disturbing/graphic videos were always going to be uploaded online once the number of internet users (households) started increasing dramtically (fast broadband connections help as well). I suppose the gigantic number of mobile users contributes to that as well.
As with most things on the internet - you don't see it unless you go looking for it.
Anyone who says they 'just stumbled' on something illegal or disturbing is probably lying.
I would agree its highly unlikely that you would find something by accident, but its not impossible. Some people delibrately place things on the internet so people will come across them, a few years ago on Youtube for example videos were uploaded and make to look like normal stuff, they were quickly removed but not before thousands of views.

Yeah it can happen, I know it used to happen more when the free filesharing sites like limewire were more popular.
I heard stories about people downloading files and ending up seeing something pretty horrific. Some of that was probably bulls*it too, but with the peer-to-peer stuff I guess it was easier to mistakenly download something illegal.

Not entirely true. The video I mentioned on the previous page of this thread about the old woman getting beat up came up on my Facebook newsfeed as a couple of people had shared it and, for some reason, videos on Facebook seem to just play automatically now (albeit without sound) even if you don't click on them.
