Yes, Sport 1 are obsessed with indoor football. Seems like the sponsors of these tournaments in early January pay good money for the TV exposure. I guess the FA Cup will be back on FTA for the later rounds, unless the FA had something to say against it (who knows, these days...).
Meanwhile:
10/12 17:00 Eurosport FC Barcelona v Celtic FC (UEFA Youth League)
11/12 19:45 ZDF Olympique Marseille v Borussia Dortmund (UEFA Champions League)
I see that the Sport1 schedule for FA Cup Round 4 has a provisional FA Cup Live programme on Saturday lunchtime - which is when Liverpool travel to either AFC Bournemouth or Burton Albion which is also on ITV.
Nothing set in stone yet though - Sport+ has games scheduled on both Saturday and Sunday at this time but nothing else.
I'm hoping that the nonsense that they have scheduled on Sport1 at 3pm on Saturday could make way for another live game...
I'm not sure but they often collide with other live sports. For example, Sport 1 has live handball (European championships) on 14th and 15th January, and Sport 1+ has Coppa Italia.

Have to say - love the advertising by Servus TV as to the fact they're covering a friendly with multiple camera angles etc. I have to admit to being a fan of a Winter break in England (not over the festive period though), but watching German tv, I also think that friendlies over the Winter break should be banned - what's the point of a break if you fill it with matches?
The friendlies are meant to serve two purposes: preparing for the rest of the season and, of course, making some money.
The players are on holiday for 10 to 14 days over Christmas and New Year's Day, and the clubs usually arrange training camps in Turkey or Qatar for 7 or 10 days. They would have to start training anyway, so they might as well do it where the weather is nice and pitch conditions are good.
For example, Bayern were in Qatar from 5th to 13th January, with friendlies against clubs from Sudan and Kuwait. Training resumed in Munich yesterday, then there's the short trip to Salzburg (100 miles), and after that, there's still 6 days left until the first league game against Gladbach next Friday.
Some clubs do fly to far-flung destinations during the winter break to promote the Bundesliga. For example, Bayern went to India a couple of years ago, and Stuttgart have been to South Africa this year. But, as I said, most of the time it's Turkey, Qatar - or Spain.
By the way, Salzburg have been in excellent shape recently. They're runaway leaders in the Austrian Bundesliga, and together with Tottenham, they were the only team to win all their group stage games in the Europa League. So this could actually be an interesting game.

The second half of the Bundesliga season kicks off tonight with an FTA live game (Gladbach v Bayern). Sport1 only has one live FA Cup game (Bournemouth v Liverpool).
2nd Bundesliga will kick off in two weeks, with 1860 Munich v Düsseldorf being the first live game. And then there’s the German Cup quarter finals, with Frankfurt v Dortmund and Hamburg v Bayern being live on ARD Das Erste.

I guess German 4th level football won't be a huge crowd pleaser around here, but still...
Does make you think though, it's a shame there can't be lower league football live on terrestrial in the UK.
Onto Sport1, they've got (most of) the second half of Wigan - Arsenal, after live handball on Sat 12 April (full match on itv). Unfortunately due to Basketball no live coverage of Hull - Shef U on the Sunday (the UK BT match).
In a non-football aside, as the Betway Premier League Darts comes towards a conclusion in May, signs are positive as it looks like full live coverage of the first two nights in May on Sport1.
