    "Desktop exercise"

I like it. I must remember that one.

It is normally the first step, prior to going out to visit, I know of a few professionals who do a desktop study as stage one of an exercise.

But it has lots of freebies, Gyms, baths, condoms...that should swing things in Ooopsie's mind. And I bet they have air conditioning that works too, nice secure doors, that are not broken or left open. Lots of security lighting and CCTV. :p

The correct term is "All Inclusive" I think

He wont need a gun, the kind officers will carry one instead, doubt they will have the weapons loaded with Black Talons though...OP may find that a relief actually.

Out the door, turn left, chauffeur in blue uniform waiting in a shiny van? Door to door service, excellent I hear.

Think David Dadic has it right, it's going to get rough.

I don't think dum dums are allowed for the authorities. Only private individuals are allowed to use this sort of ammunition.

    I'm packing a suitcase now...shall we book a double?

I think they only do single rooms in some of these places, best check that first, don't want to be sharing towels do we. :p

He is going to use up a lot of court time with this cross exam and Nel will again be
    pushed for time, I suspect.

I think prisons in S Africa are the same as anywhere really. Some are indeed used for warehousing gangster repeat offenders who are not interested in rehabilitation etc , other more modern ones are probably all that the inspector said they were. OP was never ever going to be sent to the warehouse type. Nor should he be.

What 'special treatment'? The right to defence/mitigation?

Seems like the SA prison system is on trial, not OP. If he'd been found guilty of murder, prison would have been mandatory so the state of SA prisons would be irrelevant.

I know, from rioting members in their homes...you cant have peeps stampedes all over the place, they will smash the place up. :p

Gang member leaders are called Generals...promotional possibility there for OP, no glass ceilings. :p

Exactly. Other prisoners do not get a full analysis of the state of SA prisons before deciding whether to send them there.

Nel opened the cell door on this.

Unfortunately the Birthday Girl is going to let it run.

Wait hang on.. so when Nel takes a day to cross a Roux witness it's ok but when Roux spends no more than 15 minutes so far on a cross he's already being accused of using up court time to harm Nel?
