The Corrs

I used to love them, and was into them before they had their breakthrough with their cover of Dreams.

I remember seeing them on The Box, when it wasn't the channel it is today and they used to showcase up and coming artists.

Two videos I don't believe I've seen of theirs on mainstream (non-Corrs specific) shows are these two, which are simply brilliant.

I love them. I really started to listen to their albums a few years after they split up and I remember how surprised I was how many singles i knew.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but my favorite album is Borrowed Heaven.

Also, I watched all of their concerts, they were really good live.

Again, before they made it big I saw them at the Derngate Theatre in Northampton about 1997. Andrea messed up on the tin whistle (?) but the others just played on and she caught up, it was quite surreal.

    Painful....well off key.

Ruined one of my fave Ryan Adams tunes.

The Corrs - Unfulfilled Promise...Celtic Rock music has a habit of doing that.

I don't know all their songs but the ones I've heard I've liked:

    So Young
    Radio
    Dreams
What Can I Do (To Make You Love Me)

    are all nice songs.

I saw them playing live in the old showgrounds in Omagh shortly after the bomb.

They are quite a guilty pleasure of mine.

I liked their melodic music. Very soothing back in the day.

Absolutely loved them in their heyday. So many of their album songs are so damn good too. Especially Somebody for Someone off In Blue.

I loved their single The Right Time off their first album and it got quite a bit of airplay on R1 at the time (1996 I think) but wasn't a hit. I saw them that year open for Celine Dion and they had such a great vibe - never seen an unknown support act get such a great reaction from a crowd - although maybe us Scots are just pre-disposed to liking Celtic/Irish traditional style of music that they did! lol.

Always liked them after that, was frustrating how long it took for them to get a hit after that and I was kind of disappointed for them that it took a cover version (Dreams) to achieve it as they had so many great songs of their own.

I still find it hilarious how Runaway finally became a huge chart hit in the UK more than 3/4 years after it was a hit in Ireland:D
