The people do care just as much, they just have self control. Something Lennon clearly does not.
Tend to agree. Aberdeen got knocked out with a worse refereeing decision than Celtic had and they didn't react in the same way. Spurs had an even worse decision than that go against them and if anything Redknapp tried to downplay it after the match - "an honest decision, people make mistakes". I actually think Lennon is a good manager, but his reaction over this incident has been completely ridiculous in comparison. If anyone genuinely believes that referees are actively trying to screw over Celtic then they need their head checked.
Time for Celtic plc to tell Neil Lennon his antics yesterday at full-time are simply not acceptable and won't be tolerated again.
Most undignified and unprofessional.
Anyone behaving like that in another organisation would probably be on a disciplinary or facing the sack.
No way. After the whole fiasco at the celtic v rangers game last year and the SFA overturned mccoist's ban but punished lennon celtic should do nothing which gives the SFA any kind of support or ammunition.

Ironically during the 90 minutes the referee only had to warn to Sergio about his touchline behaviour.

Sergio is a buffoon (albeit an entertaining one) as well, but what Lennon has done/said is miles over the line of what's acceptable. Do you genuinely believe that decision was a "personal" one yesterday?
True but the first time it hits an arm it stops a shot, the second handball (Wanyama) the direction of the ball is changed again and taken away from an onrushing Hearts player. Both times disadvantaging Hearts, so a peno for me in this instance
None of that comes into the decision though. The only criteria for a penalty is "deliberate handball". Not the case with Ledley or Wanyama IMO.
Having said that, we didn't deserve to win the game anyway.
Interestingly enough he has only refereed one game in the SPL in which Rangers were struggling and DIDN'T give them a penalty or send off one of the opposition.
2011/12 Inverness (A) 0-2 2 penalties and Tokely sent off for a good tackle
St Johnstone (H) 0-0 (Job not done correctly)
Motherwell (H) 3-0 Help not required
2010/11 St Mirren (H) 2-1 penalty the winning goal
Kilmarnock (A) 2-3 2 penalties Sissoko sent off
It may be that all of these penalties (bar the Tokely decision) were legit as I can't remember them all but there is a recurring theme to his officiating.
So are you saying he got any of the big decisions wrong yesterday .... think about it for a moment.;)
The only one I can see is not booking Ki for simulation (no doubt he will be pulled up by the panel) - not sending Black off and your offside goal, which his assistant linesman should be seriously questioned as at no time in the move was Hooper onside.
I thought you said it was good of him to be "speaking out" on twitter or have I misread that.;)
welcome back btw.:D
The idea of communicating with fans it undoubtedly a good one and anything that brings fans and clubs closer is a good thing. However on reflection in the case of Lennon its probably doing more harm than good. There will be an inevitable shit-storm on the horizon at any given time and i wouldn't have faith in him keeping himself under control.
Lennon is a loose cannon, thats the biggest problem. He is managing very much in similar style to how he played.
I have to be honest and say my opinion on him changes on an almost hourly basis! Ask me again and i'll probably have a different view!

Wanyama incident is hand to ball - whether he meant it or not his hand moved towards the ball which is an automatic penalty.
Of course originally Ledley was saying it was crazy that the referee had given it against Wanyama (indicating that it never hit his hand and it should be obvious as one is white and one is black).:D
I think he should probably be putting a wee apology out to the officials but I wouldn't hold my breath as it seems to be against company policy to do so under Lennon's guidance.
Is there a more vile person than Neil Lennon in football ?
Ashley Young?
FWIW, I can't believe there are people on here stating that a penalty should have been awarded to Hearts Never, ever in a million years was that a pen.

And never in a million years was it a penalty to Celtic or onside for the goal.
I don't think it was a penalty but all this moaning about the ref being against Celtic is utter mince

Thought Lennon's actions highlight a complete and total inability to show any dignity whatsoever in defeat/ dropping points. I actually believe his actions after the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen, when he told the cameraman to go away after their winning run came to and end, spoke volumes about the man.
Time for the Celtic support to wake up and tell the truth. He is an embarrassment.

The SFA hold the power as to what the top division is. So if they start up their own, that's where the European spots will be so Celtic and Rangers would have no choice to join. And it wouldn't be on their terms for once.

Would be ideal for a NewCo Rangers to be parachuted into the top league with new rules - or is that cynical?

I'm not all clued up on football but from what my friends are saying on facebook that's what I would guess. But it couldn't happen as soon as August could it? Don't these things take ages to happen?

You would think it would take a year or two to sort out, but this is Scotland where nothing would surprise me when it comes to the SFA.
Those running the club.

The Glasgow based media.
offt!
Tearing Hugh a new one atm.
Why didn't anyone google Craig Whyte for 5 minutes rather than brand him a billionaire with wealth off the radar? At last someone asking the right questions.

Accidental handball is NOT a pealty!

Apologies should be forthcoming from Lennon and Thompson too but I wont hold my breath.

He also lost his best friend that weekend.

Not cynical at all. It's the truth.
Unfortunately.
