My opinion of Chris Parks has gone up. The Abyss character had nowhere left to go; this development is not only interesting but shows how talented he is.

Yeah it's about time they tried something different with Abyss. He never should have talked in the first place in my opinion as it made him more of a joke than a monster. Seeing as he did though at least this is fresh.

What's happened to Mr Anderson? He hasn't been on TV in quite a while now.

He was back in last night episode.

Giggled at Eric Young winning the Knockouts Tag team title.

Do either have to turn heal, all they need to do is have a massive falling out and have a massive feud without either of them being bad. They were heading that way anyway before they were inexplicably teamed together as a tag team.

I don't get this turning heal thing anyway, why exactly does everyone become evil the very second they win the World Champioship, I know power corrupts but its not usually an instant thing. If your bad stay bad and vice versa I find it totally stupid for them to go bad for no apparant reason.

I think EY is fantastic, his beard is great, he engages the largely apathetic fans at ringside and actualy gets some life into the impact zone. I also think ODB is one of the best knockouts in term of creating a wrestling 'character' and pairing them up was a good idea but putting the tag titles on them? not so sure where this is going to end up - Cody Deaner anyone?!?

Great to see Parks back, had a real 'wow, is that Abyss?!' moment when he came on screen.

Has anyone noticed how Taz & Tenay have obviously been told to mention at every opportunity during a Knockouts match how sexy the girls are?
We know they are hot, any teenage boy watching will definately have an indication of how hot they are (UK Gladiators Jet - how fondly i remember you! :o) but they need to get over how buch better they are in ring than most WWE Divas - well most of them are (Winter, I'm looking at you - infact, is she even on the roster now?) It is another thing that makes TNA a good alternative to anyone bored with the WWE.

Does anyone think TNA should start holding a couple of PPV's each year in the UK?

Buyrates are already poor and it's most likely that a high percentage of TNA PPV buys come from a hardcore fanbase, that will most likely still order the PPV even if it's shown in a mid afternoon timeslot.

Ticket and merchandise sales would probably make up for any drop in PPV buys due to the PPV airing in afternoon timeslot in the US.

Even a taped PPV in the UK would probably make more money than a live PPV in Orlando.

it might work if they also stayed an extra week to tape a couple of episodes of impact.

It went backwards when they brought in Bischoff, Flair and Hogan.

Those latter had no business coming back into a wrestling ring.

They're most likely still using his stuff - he'll have had plenty of storylines planned out for a few months and I doubt TNA would have just binned everything and started fresh.

Once this PPV is out of the way, I imagine that's when we'll see the real post-russo stuff.

They're not really. The ratings are the same as they have been since the move to Spike (apart from the move to Monday nights which butchered them).

The vast majority of casual wrestling fans have no idea who Vince Russo is, and wouldn't care even if they did.

Since Russo left the product has been in a re-building phase with quite a lot of safe and overtly logical booking. That's fine, for a while, but it was starting to get stale, and I'm glad to see they're addressing that with some more entertaining storylines, like Joseph Parks, ODB/Eric Young and Sting going crazy again.

Yeah, the ratings have been stuck for TNA for years. It's going to take years to rebuild the company and it's talent to get to a point where some of them actually have an affect on the ratings and PPV numbers.

Sunday's Impact spent so long on Promo's and adverts I managed to watch 50 minutes of Upstairs downstairs while they were on.

Apparently quite a lot of the promos are shown in the UK only, as the ad breaks for the US show are even longer/more frequent, so they need to make up the time here to make it last 2 hours

It seemed a bit longer this week though since I normally only get to the 35-40 minute mark of the other programme i'm usually watching at the same time when the wrestling isn't on this week it was over 50.

Rumours doing the rounds today that TNA want Edge at Lockdown in return for Flair going to the WWE Hall of Fame. Interesting to see if McMahon plays ball.

Good PPV overall. Aries did indeed steal the show as he always does, but Angle/Hardy was very good as well.

However, what is it with TNA and their endings to PPVs?! Not a great ending to the match - the aftermath was good in terms of making Roode look like a total asshole, but Storm should have came out for the save, as the crowd were calling for it. Would have ended the PPV with an epic pop and sent the punters home happy.

Did anyone notice the promo banner on the bottom of the screen during the first match reminding everyone that Victory Road will be airing at 10pm on Challenge on Wednesday?

Since viewers were already watching at the time, I think we all knew that.:D
