That was so manufactured you mean. You do know that the BB writers get together with the friends & family to write those letters. None of it from the letters to the tears is real:)

I found it all rather banal to be honest.

And the song at the end? What is this, 'Dawson's Creek'?

I never cry at letters from home and I was sobbing. This may however be more because my partner has just gone away to work for 4 weeks at sea and so I am home alone in our recently bought new house for first time. I do think mark still might have got me even if I wasn't already on the edge though!

the've been on a journey from the bedroom to the garden to the toilet to the kitchen, they have had to struggle through a warzone of second rate acting for airtime and drank more drink than ollie reed. they are truely deserving, never mind letters they should all be up for sainthood.....god bless the troopers.

I'll be fine as long as big brother puts the family letters away, nothing to emotional happens in the soaps, maxine gets away from patrick in hollyoaks and also got my mum coming no matter how old you get sometimes you still just need your mum! Haha this post makes me sound like a right tv addict!

But we all know that in a day or two, there'll be a task where the HMs who didn't receive their letters will be able to 'win' them back......happens every year.

Its so bloody cheesy and contrived but I always cry  Seriously though add some sad music to anything and I'll be in tears. If they showed Mark sobbing over the lack of hair appliances and added a Westlife song or similar I'd be in floods. And lil_helenkm you have just spoiled Hollyoaks for me :D:D

The only time I've felt sad from letters from home is when Deana didn't get her letter and everyone else did, and that's only because Deana was being bullied so if anyone deserves a letter it was her

Not to mention she only didn't receive her letter because of Ashleigh's selfishness

It's too manipulative to work on me anyway but when you're not very sympathetically disposed towards the HMs it's mostly just a mixture of annoying, cringeworthy and funny.

    Winston's letter was OK.
