Post Conference Season Special

PMQs Wednesday 9th October 2013: 12-12.30pm
Live coverage: BBC Parliament; BBC2; Sky News; Radio 5 Live

Order of Business:
Oral Questions to the Prime Minister

Q1 Mr Tom Harris (Glasgow South)
If he will list his official engagements for Wednesday 9 October
Q2 Graham Jones (Hyndburn)
Q3 Andrew Miller (Ellesmere Port and Neston)
Q4 Julie Hilling (Bolton West)
Q5 Jenny Chapman (Darlington)
Q6 Chris Skidmore (Kingswood)
Q7 Roberta Blackman-Woods (City of Durham)
Q8 Mr Nicholas Brown (Newcastle upon Tyne East)
When he plans to give a substantive reply to the letter from the right hon. Member for Newcastle upon Tyne East, sent on 3 July 2013.*
Q9 Jim Sheridan (Paisley and Renfrewshire North)
Q10 Luciana Berger (Liverpool, Wavertree)
Q11 Mike Crockart (Edinburgh West)
Q12 Glyn Davies (Montgomeryshire)
Q13 Richard Ottaway (Croydon South)
Q14 Kate Green (Stretford and Urmston)
Q15 John Woodcock (Barrow and Furness)

The first PMQ's since September 11th - Unemployment, Living Standards, Chicken Run and Osbornes' Hubris

This time last year there was no PMQ's.

This PMQ's is the first of a lengthy run through to December 18th, with only one break (Nov 15th) - 12 sessions in total.

*Q8: On 3/07 Brown asked Cameron at PMQ's if he would visit Newcastle and see the unemployment for himself. It then predictably descended into two different takes on what was happening. I presume, maybe incorrectly, Brown's letter carries on from there.

I expect that there will be a start of term atmosphere and general excitement due to the reshuffle.

Sadiq Khan making himself look like a fool (as usual) on the Daily Politics, refusing to accept that the economy is growing.

The House seems relatively quiet so far.

Evasive there with GPs likely to want to spend less long term with the new governance model.

Cheers for Ed Miliband from his side. Oh no! He is flanked by Balls and Harman. So we can expect idiotic childish behaviour from Balls.

Osborne's new haircut still looks odd.

Why do they do it, this endless queue of numpties who present themselves to Neil knowing full well that he is always well briefed? Lambs to the slaughter.

Interesting.. Coalition hypocrisy shown up there. Cameron obviously doesn't answer the question properly; attacking instead of justifying his own policies.

Why can't Cameron just answer the question put to him? Even Gordon Brown was better than this. Cameron should listen to the question rather than working from his script.

Labour's new energy policy gets an airing with a reminder from Cameron about Miliband's past record as Energy Minister and Miliband saying that he might not be able to implement his policy because of fluctuations in wholesale gas prices.

Cameron has no script but he is well briefed.

If Cameron spent as much time defending his own policies than he does taking pointless pot shots at Labour people might have a bit more respect for him.

    Miliband is trouncing him here.

Why are energy prices so high asks Miliband?

He should know he and his Party doubled my fuel bills when he was in office.

You can always sense Harriet Harman cringing inside when Ed Miliband speaks at PMQs.

Zzzzzzzz 13 years of Labour zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Mr Cameron, we want to know what YOU are doing NOW, not what happened 5-10 years ago.

    Cameron is so weak.

Perhaps fuel prices wasn't a smart subject for Ed the more so because of his track record which is indisputable.
