Nathan: I judged this as a Salsa, but this song may have been best suited to a Samba. As a Salsa it was pretty boring, the Salsa screams vibrancy, this erm not so much.
A fair split amongst out judges there, as Myk is an impressed as Nathan and Amy are equally unimpressed. Nick…well he’s keeping that derriere on the fence.
Nathan: This Rumba was very pleasant. It was very lyrical and smooth, but I felt as I was missing something, a moment of intensity, drama or passion. I don’t know but something was missing.
Not quite the score they managed last time, but their first Latin proves to be a good’un with one of the highest scores so far!
Back to Team Queenie now, this time with Max and Janette…
Myk: As stereotypical as this song sounds, I did actually enjoy this much more than I thought I would. To me, however, it sounds like a usual Cha Cha Cha and doesn’t stand out.
A whole range of scores from the upper end of the scale there for Max and Janette. They all tot up to put them top so far…
Our final couple from Danny’s ranks is David and Otille…
Amy: This would have been so much better without that underlying beat, which kind of spoiled it for me and distracted me from the good dancing going on there.
It’s the third 20 of the round and probably not quite what Danny was hoping for…will he be missing David after that Rumba?
Will Hetti and Gleb’s performance alienate the judges?
Myk: Sorry, but this really doesn’t suit a Rumba in my eyes. It seems to ‘clubby’ for a Rumba. Nice try, because it’s unique, but it just doesn’t work.
Well…quite. By a sizeable distance that does leave Hetti and Gleb trailing on the leaderboard. Will they pull through?
Over to Ross’ team again for the final time, it’s Mark and Aliona…
Nick: Lovely song, had a lovely Latin vibe and the tone of the song suited the Cha Cha Cha. Could hear a Cha Cha Cha rhythm in the song. A very fun and funky choice.
Another mix on the panel, as Nathan continues to court drama, leaving Mark and Aliona with 24. It was just Ballroom he trained in after all…
Finally, can Dannii and Brendan turn their position at the bottom of the leaderboard around?
1st Max George and Janette Manrara – 30
=1st Dannii Minogue and Brendan Cole - 30
3rd Maxine Peake and Anton Du Beke - 29
4th Tom Ellis and Natalie Lowe – 28
=4th Maisie Williams and Pasha Kovalev – 28
6th Mark Cavendish and Aliona Vilani - 24
7th Danny Miller and Joanne Clifton - 22
8th Nicola Roberts and Tristan Macmanus – 20
=8th Shirley Manson and Kevin Clifton – 20
=8th David Beckham and Otille Mabuse – 20
11th Hetti Bywater and Gleb Savchenko - 13
It seems good things come in pairs, as Queenie follows Ross in mentoring two couples to the top of the leaderboard! ;-) Meanwhile, things are looking a little more precarious for Andrew with Hetti and Gleb adrift by 7 marks....
LINES ARE NOW OPEN!
Please rank the eleven couples from 1-11 (1 for least favourite, 11 for favourite) and PM those votes to me (IzzieStar). I will return tomorrow at 7pm to present the results to you, as our judges decide on the fate of two of our couples...
Honestly I am delighted to not only have two couples top the leaderboard, but all three in the top 4. Thank you so much, I am overwhelmed by that! Well done everyone else as well.
I knew the song'd be slated when I sent it in, but it's so catchy, it wormed its way into my brain until I actually couldn't think of any other Jive song, or any song at all. All had become "banana coco", the rest was just Void. ;-)
Yesterday our eleven remaining couples returned to each dance a Latin round as Andrew took the reigns. They danced with varying degrees of success, as a few of the mentors took a tactical approach to the round, but it was Max George and Dannii Minogue, from Team Queenie, who took the top spots as we headed into the vote. At the other end of the leaderboard, there was less cause for celebration as Hetti Bywater received the lowest score of the series, landing her at the bottom of the leaderboard. How did our couples fare in the vote though? It's time to find out!

Nick: Had a very funky Samba tone to it, lots of bounce and could definitely see it as a Samba. Song was original and fun to listen to so well done.
In her second run of 6,7,8,9 of the night…Queenie once again bags the (joint) top score for Max and Janette!
Shall we see how they compare to each other!?

See you then!
Awful for me!
I know bazaar utterly bazaar

*passes money to Nick*
No money needed hun, I couldn't help but give 10s both times
*hint, if someone is able to do 'The Internet is for Porn' from Avenue Q then I could well give another*
Oh shameless utterly shameless well if someone does that I will be polishing off my 1 paddle
It's almost worth it for the novelty of seeing a 10 and a 1 for the same dance.
Hehe, I did say 'could' and I only would if they made it work (Avenue Q-themed Showdance anyone?), just because I love the song
Btw Izzie, I'll be here for the results but I'll most likely be eating at the same time so it may take me a while to respond
