Personally I wouldn't say they were that immoral, but having worked security at a couple of clubs, I can say you do get some very sad and pathetic men who visit regularly.
Some guys go to Craven Cottage every other week. At least going when you go to a strip club there's a chance you will see something moderately arousing.
I would however add that it is immoral if someone visits one secretly against their partners wishes but then that can be said of pretty much anywhere.
That's down to your personal morality, though. If you go to those places and have a wife at home you may need to reflect on how comfortable you are with that but as you say the same goes for anything you do in secret

'worked security at a couple of clubs'.
Yeah right *snort* ;-)
(sorry ... open door and all that :D)
Would most men who use them be happy for their girlfriend/wife/mother/daughter to do this work?
I think that people seem to forget that women visit places with male strippers, not to mention all the male strippers that get hired for hen parties, having womens faces rubbed right into various parts of a mans body. But to answer the ops question, no it isn't immoral, it provides entertainment to both sexes and puts food on the table not just baps.
I don't think strip clubs are immoral, no. Mind you I don't think prostitution or porn is immoral either. As long as everything is legal and consensual I'm fine with it. I was friends with a girl when I was in uni who worked in a "private gentleman's establishment" part time and you would not believe the money she was making. She wasn't paying back any student loans put it that way, I'm still repaying mine. I'd have done it myself if I was better looking.

Some of these guys were in there nearly every night, buying gifts for the girls, whilst leaving a wife and kids at home.
Immoral? By whose definition of morality? If women want to earn a bit of money stripping off and men are willing to pay money to watch them then why not? It's adult entertainment and well enough regulated. Not my cup of tea but if people want to pay to have a semi-naked woman wiggling around in front of them for 5 minutes then why not as long as there's no coercion or force.
The only worthwhile discussions I've ever known on topics relating to the sex industry are those that raise the question of who is actually being exploited in these places.
Some say it is the women who are degraded because they take their clothes off to be ogled and leered at by men.
Some say it is the men who are lured into spending their money on something so shallow, meaningless and devoid of any meaningful male / female relationship.
I went to sex clubs in places like Amsterdam and Copenhagen in my younger years, with my pals. We drunk beer..... did immature things like shouting "Bring on the donkey" when the woman took off her last item of clothing..... and other such blokey stuff.
It was a laugh, but it wasn't in any way gratifying and the next day I invariably found that I'd spent far more money than I thought. Far, far, far more money than I thought. Someone, somewhere must have been chuckling "There's one born every day".
Strip clubs are neither illegal nor immoral. Anybody who goes into one does so of his own free will. How he feels afterwards about himself or how he has been ripped off is something he will have to ponder in the cold grey light of morning.

I've never been in a club with male strippers - I find them absolutely repulsive. I have been to a female strip club though, and it was as grubby as I'd imagined it to be. I spent some of the time sat talking to a couple of German guys then when I went to the toilet I came back and one of the girls had taken my place. Obviously trying to work her magic to get them to spend more money in the club. The girls were all over the club doing the same.

My one and only experience in such places I would definitely say it was the punters being exploited but this was quite a few years ago and things may have changed.
It was a friend's stag do. We were charged entry on the door and the staff then immediately demanded we each buy a drink (at way over standard bar prices). We were obviously going to buy drinks anyway.
A dancer made a beeline for our table when she clocked my mate was on his stag night and demanded we buy her a drink. She then asked for more money so she could sit and chat with us for a few minutes. She then offered my mate a personal dance but wanted more money off each of us and funds were running low so we declined.
Since we were running low on cash we decided to leave but then magically another round of drinks appeared at our table. We got into an argument with the staff because no-one had ordered the drinks and we refused to pay, so they chucked us out. Except the bouncers barred our exit until we paid for the round of drinks we didn't want.
I'm sure the system is a lot better regulated these days but it's still a mug's game parting with quite a lot of cash for very little reward really. I know the girls who perform are under huge pressure to get money from personal lap dances but it's still easy money even if they take home only a small proportion of their nightly earnings. If you're in college it's still far more than if you're doing, say, bar work or a weekend job to help with tuition fees and that's obviously the attraction for performers. It's not a particularly nice or glamorous job but it pays relatively well. For the punters it's just a money drain.
I would say it very much depends on your moral compass.
If you believe that it is 'moral' to pay a women to take her clothes of and wriggle around on your lap, then that's up to you.
If you believe it is moral when you understand that many of them are desperate and see no way out. That many of them get so sick of men, that they become lesbians.

Thats some family buisness
I think you already know the answer as you've put "strip clubs are immoral" as your thread title.
No. If they're well away from where people do their shopping, it's fine. They're just providing a harmless service that gets people turned on.
That's down to your personal morality, though. If you go to those places and have a wife at home you may need to reflect on how comfortable you are with that but as you say the same goes for anything you do in secret
If you're in a relationship, better ask your partner first.

Sorry you've lost me here.

The poster asked if the men would be happy not if they would give their permission.
Same applies to women.
No. I like a nice pair.
