I know this is a bit early but I would be interested to know your favorite carols. I have always been in a church choir so I need your input ;)

Once in Royal David's City has always been mine followed by In the Bleak Mid Winter (but that one depends on the tune)!

    You better not cry,
    You better not pout,
    I'm telling you why,
Santa Claus is going in dry,
Santa Claus is going in dry,
Santa Claus is going in dry.♪♫

While Shepherd washed their socks by night,
    All watching ITV,
The Angel of the Lord came down,
    And switched to BBC.

The only sort of carol I have ever enjoyed singing is Rise Up Shepard :)
I run a choir, and we have just started our Christmas songs, seems bizarre in October to be singing Santa Baby!

Away in a Manger, reminds me of watching my children in their school nativity play, so it's my favourite.

    We sang

We 3 Kings of Orient Are
Trying to smoke a plastic cigar

I forget the rest of it but we got paid well for singing it around Leicester when we were kids :D

    It's:

We three kings of Orient are
One in a taxi one in a car
One on a scooter bibbing his hoooter
    Following yonder star

Oh Star of wonder star of light
    Jesus set his pants alight.

    :o

    I love Christmas Carols

We Kings from Persion Lands afar
    In the Bleak Midwinter
    Oh little town of Bethlehem

    Love em:)

I'm 36 and still love it when me & my mates drunkenly call on my mum's neighbours in Ireland to sing carols. And they love it too!!!

Another version - show my age (shillings/pence)

whilst shepherd watched their flocks by night
    or eating fish and chips
the angel of the lord came down
and charged them 2 and 6

I do admit that on Christmas day I have to put on a carol CD before we open our presents. Sad but it just what we do.

    That's not a carol. It's drunken dirge.
