None of them are short of hits, but it's been years since they were in the top 10.

I can't agree, the charts are more interesting when there is a mix. There is room for everyone, IMO.

i agree the charts are more interesting when theres a mix.... a mix of current new acts like there was in the 80's , especially the early 80's.

were there 'old' acts in the charts in the 80's?.... yes.... but not from 30 plus years earlier!

i said it before, and to re-itterate, the charts were more varied when the youth of the day were creating new music and fashions. that is imho how it should be, pop being created by the days youth to form their identity. the singles charts were always youth aimed at least since rock n roll. oldies should leave 'da kidz' to it like our parents did.

Why would anyone over the age of 20 care about the charts - they were a fun thing to talk about when I was at school, but now I couldn't give a stuff what's in the Top Ten, or charting/not charting.

Tears for Fears - one of the very best bands of the 80s. Actually, one of the very best bands ever.

Couldn't agree more. Maybe to some people they do still matter, but god knows why if that's the case, they seem so irrelevant to public culture these days. Ultimately no one really cares. The glory days of "what's number 1" and Top Of The Pops and everything associated with it is long gone.

Another vote from me about A-Ha. And, hopefully when their new album is released in September, they will storm into the Top 10.

I'd love to see country singer Steve Wariner and country trio Baillie & The Boys back on the radio at least. :):):)

God bless you and them always!!! :):):)

    Holly

P.S. May country legends Keith Whitley and Eddie Rabbit rest in peace. To me, a good deal of their stuff is awesome. :):):)
