Canterbury Bulldogs v North Queensland Cowboys - Richard Svenson and Matt Head, with Julian Daw at pitchside (7.30pm AEST commentary on the ABC app)
Commonwealth Games: Glasgow 2014
Netball: Australia v England - Peter Walsh (ABC app commentary)
At the start of the Crusaders v Sharks Super 15 Semi-Final commentary on Radio Sport, Rocky Roberts welcomed listeners in Australia and South Africa. Given that ABC Grandstand has commentary rights to the Australian Super 15 franchises, I'm guessing the commentary from Christchurch was being streamed on the ABC app. But I'm not sure which South African station will have simulcast their commentary. I don't know much about sports radio in that part of the world, other than that SABC's Radio 2000 covers the South Africa international cricket team (indeed they were broadcasting commentary on the Proteas' Test match v Sri Lanka at the time) and that UTV Radio are preparing to launch a 24-hour South African national sports radio station called talkSPORT 540AM next year.
Rugby Union: Super 15 Final
New South Wales Waratahs v (Canterbury) Crusaders - Jim Maxwell and Ross Reynolds, with John Morrison at pitchside (7.40pm AEST commentary)
In New Zealand, Radio Sport simulcast ABC Local Radio's commentary on the Super 15 Final during The End Zone with Dean Butler. They also simulcast parts of the ABC Local Radio commentary on the earlier NRL game between North Queensland Cowboys v Gold Coast Titans - I'm afraid I don't know who made up their commentary team - as well as providing their own commentary and updates from the Commonwealth Games. In Glasgow, Malcolm Jordan and Rikki Swannell covered the New Zealand v England netball semi-final, Daniel McHardy is commentating on the New Zealand v India men's hockey semi-final and Brian Ashby is at the diving.

*talkSPORT's updates from the Commonwealth Games chiefly consisted of studio-based round-ups on all of the ongoing action from dedicated reporters (separate from the news and sports bulletin newsreaders) either once or twice an hour at around quarter past and/or quarter to the hour while events were taking place (they didn't carry updates on either the opening or closing ceremonies). Typically two reporters would be on duty per day, one doing the 9am-4pm shift and the other doing 4pm-11pm, although Kate Partridge covered the whole of Wednesday and Lynsey Hooper covered all of the final day's events. Kate and Lynsey were responsible for doing the vast majority of the weekday updates.
Additionally, Michael Weadock was on-site in Glasgow throughout the Games conducting interviews from the venues with participants from all of the home nations. He was also providing interviews and updates for Radio Yorkshire, while from his Twitter timeline I note that John Cushing (the former presenter of Scores on LBC) was reporting on Glasgow 2014 for Global Radio's network of stations. In one other bit of Commonwealth Games news, talkSPORT's North-East correspondent Graham Courtney was the media manager at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre in Carnoustie, which staged the shooting events at Glasgow 2014.
Finally, for posterity talkSPORT were planning to provide commentary on the scheduled Derek Chisora v Tyson Fury WBO World Heavyweight Championship title eliminator boxing contest on Saturday 26th July before Chisora withdrew. Colin Murray was due to present alongside Gareth A Davies, with Dave Farrar and Steve Collins listed as their commentary team. With the originally scheduled main event being cancelled, talkSPORT didn't carry updates on the rest of the card from Manchester's Phones 4U Arena as it turned out.

Commentary on the first three rounds was on 5LSE with updates on 5 Live, with live coverage of the final round being broadcast on 5 Live on Sunday night from 8pm. I listened last night right through until the end of the coverage at 2am and want to congratulate the 5 Live trio on the excellent job they did of bring over the tension of one of the most exciting finishes to a major I can recall over the past few years. Well done to all involved.

BBC Test Match Special- India v. England, The Test Series (5 match series)
Commentators: Jonathan Agnew, Simon Mann (1, 4 & 5), Prakash Wakankar (2-4), Ed Smith (2 & 3, 5), Henry Blofeld (1 & 2), Charles Dagnall (3) and Alison Mitchell (4)
Summarisers: Geoffrey Boycott, Michael Vaughan, Phil Tufnell, (1-3, 5), Rahul Dravid (1-3), Vic Marks (3-4) , Graeme Swann (1 & 2) and Sunil Gavaskar (4 & 5)
Mitchell and Dagnall got well deserved full TMS debuts and were excellent, hopefully they'll feature in the ashes next summer! Andrew Samson also replaced Malcolm Ashton as the scorer (though ashtray will be back for the ODIs) apparently due to a dispute over expenses. Henry Blofeld made no appearance after the second test because he went up to the Edinburgh fringe to perform his show with ex producer Peter Baxter, whilst Graeme Swann went out to the CPL for BT Sport which may explain why he didn't appear after the second test either and Dravid went back to India after Southampton. A strong summer, though I did think the use of five summarisers for the first three games did mean some voices were heard little and that it was OTT.

Golf: The US PGA Championship
Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Kentucky - Iain Carter, Conor McNamara and Jay Townsend (commentary)
As ever for the three US golf majors, Bob Bubka was in Valhalla to provide regular live updates on talkSPORT.
