Absolute radio has had the duplicate listing removed that usually goes in the 800s. Retune now and Absolute radio will be listed in the EPG once.

Already mentioned in message #600. Actually unless it has just changed there are still two Absolute Radios in the NIT. So the second one is still a placeholder but without LCN and might be detected by certain boxes. :D:D

No ray you post before you edited it mentioned the stream was removed thats it. My post refers to the channel been removed from the NIT. So don't pull that one on me. :D

    Good try though!

Clearly changed ray if you read my post!

My box always picks up channels without an LCN and put them in the 800s but the duplicate one has now gone. GO retune and look.

Yeah all the Mux C Absolute Radio data has been removed from the SI. Quicker than normal. Beats me why they just don't remove the lot in one go. The stream was removed just after midnight. What possible horrors could occur if they had left it until this afternoon along with the SI. IMO they should always remove the SI first and then the physical streams but these days they are doing it the other way around more and more.

Now I am seeing 102 SD channels in the NIT/SDT in London, all of them with LCNs including TMTV. I guess that will be the next one to go; it should have been removed already.

Also according to DMOL it has been removed from Scotland and N Ireland (unconfirmed "off air" at the moment). Thanks to Ray - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=46307265&postcount=183

Also (older news not posted in changelog) S4C2 has been "depublished" according DMOL. Again, unconfirmed.
    Discussion: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=1399568

Viewers in Wales, Scotland and N. Ireland please retune and confirm that DMOL's changes have gone live.

A 7th multiplex will appear in Northern Ireland from DSO (currently Q4 2012) using DVB-T2 with QPSK and FEC 5/6. It will carry TG4, RTÉ1 & RTÉ2 in SD. No other details have been confirmed. The implications of this decision are that a Freeview HD receiver will be needed and coverage will be 90% of the region. The receivers are likely also to receive those Republic DTT transmissions which can be received in NI due to overspill.

Precisely, that will make six 24-hour +1 channels, and bearing in mind there are only about 20 non-plus1 24-hour channels available, that's quite a high proportion.

Mendip is getting Arq B to replace Mux D from 11/1/11 with $ky Sports 1 & 2. Retune required after 2pm to convert the Arqiva mux. Everywhere is getting ITV1+1 on the same day. http://www.arqiva.com/corporate/press/archive/2010/2010-12-29%20-%20Re-tune%20required%20for%20Mendip%20viewers.pdf

Sorry to be slow, but remind me why Mendip Mux D is only just changing to Arq B nearly 9 months after DSO2?

Because no free frequencies are available until later in 2011 with power up in 2012. Close proximity to Central and Meridian regions, so have to wait until they switch. The current commercial muxes at Mendip are in pre DSO configuration. ie Arqiva muxes are 16QAM 2k and low power.

ITV1+1 and its regional variants STV+1, UTV+1 and Channel +1 will replace ITV2+1 on Mux 2 / D3&4 with LCN33 in all areas.

    So, to summarise:

Everyone will get ITV1+1, but it may come from the wrong region.
Those on relays and others not able to receive
    Mux A, will lose ITV2+1.

Some people in parts of Western England, who were getting ITV2+1, will lose it and get Welsh ITV1+1 in its place. They won't be too delighted. :o

Changes on 6/1/11 to LCN108 Sky Text including new front page and reduction in its main bitrate from 835kbps to 204kbps plus reductions in the individual channels' entry pages bitrates from 20kbps to 3kbps with substantially longer loading times.

The hidden yellow button service allowing change of the quarter screen video has had Sky Sports News removed from the menu but Sky3+1 has not been added.

The reduction in bitrates has resulted in 1.2Mbps of null packets on Mux C which may be a step towards an eighth stream carrying CNN. Reductions in bitrates to the rest of the channels would be needed before this could happen.

Sky Text can now move from Mux C to Mux D presumably on 11/1/11 which has between 400 and 500kbps of null packets.
