If I sail to Acapulco or Cancun Mexico
There the law is waiting for me

If they wont take me in Cairo

I’ll die a man without a country
and only God knew I was innocent now.

Those lyrics are so, so sad! :(

I can't even begin to imagine how alone he felt during the trial.

Putting pen to paper was his way of dealing with his emotions.

'and God knows that I'm innocent'
