PJ Brennan played Doug Carter on Hollyoaks from 2010 to 2013.

Kevin McHale currently hosts Virtually Famous on E4/C4.

    Jeremy Piven playing Mr Selfridge.

The announcer at the start of each 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

There's also a continuity announcer occasionally on E4 and More 4.

This is almost inexhaustible as lots if Brits play American in US shows...

John Mahoney (born and raised in Lancashire) went on to play Frasier's Dad.
Jane Seymour was Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman.
Nicolette Sheridan played an all American housewife.
Even Birmingham's own Lucy Davis has had a few American roles recently.

    We're big business stateside.

It's hard to find an American show which doesn't have a British actor.

I remember back in the 60s and 70s, Ed Bishop, Shane Rimmer, Paul Maxwell and Bruce Boa were the regular Americans on telly (although Maxwell was Canadian).

And made a cameo appearance in Coronation Street which apparently was one of his great professional ambitions. Also the only surviving member of The Magnificent Seven alas.

Rod Steiger and William Shatner appeared in A Town Has Turned to Dust, a Western broadcast live from the BBC Riverside Studios in 1958. Exactly why the BBC was
making a Western is lost in the mists of time......

Mac Mcdonald played the captain on Red Dwarf.
Kerry Shale is mostly on radio but pops up on TV occasionally.
Kelly Ann Lyons on CBBC spoof news show DNN.
Colin Stinton seems to be the go to guy when a British show needs a American in a non-starring role.
