And yes, we discussed it earlier this week when the Radio Times mentioned it.
Id rather have Tom Baker.
I think the Bakers would need serious help from a dietician to get through the TARDIS doors.
And if the rumours are true, it would hardly make sense to Tom to regenerate into Hurt.
Ooopp, sorry. Missed it......
You think that was rude? Wow, sheltered life.
I mentioned it had already been discussed, that happens all the time on here.
Spelling is not an issue, I don't care how they spell things. But a name? Have enough respect for the actors and the show to get that right. Especially as they obviously just read an article about them!
Out of all the classic Who's who are still with us, I think it makes sense for the' extra' Doctor in the 50th to be either Tom (simply based of him being the most iconic of all the Doctors) or McGann (because he is the Doctor who will apparently regenerate into Hurt).
There's no reason Tom should play the actual 4th Doctor - perhaps a representation of him which would explain his ageing.
Some people don't appreciate spoilers, even if they are just rumours.
Then they should stay the fudge off the internet
That's not very fair. For officially announced things, I don't think they can complain, but when someone comes on the internet professing to have insider information which has not been revealed officially, it's just good manners to not put said information in the titles.
What do you think would have happened if someone made a thread earlier this year with a thread title "Clara rumoured to have met past Doctors"?
That reminds me of the joke.
Husband: (to wife) Don't tell me the football score.
Wife: Ok
Husband: I mean it. Not even a hint.
Wife: All right.
Husband settles down to watch the highlights of the match.
Wife: I don't know why you want to watch it though, there were no goals.
Husband:
You are a strange little person. Jet set? Because I don't believe what I said was rude? Because it wasn't. I am sure they are thrilled to have a personal protector on the forum though. Especially as they didn't seem to really care about my post. Why would they, it wasn't rude!
It was said in no such tone, not my fault you took it that way.
Nothing to do with him reading these posts, it is just tragic that somebody cannot spell a simple name.
I am honoured that I got your first three posts, a worthy reason to start posting, my 'tone'.
Anyway, I think with the few things we know about the 50th (which I wont mention cos I haven't worked out how to 'spoiler' stuff ) ;I'd now be quite surprised if Paul *wasn't* involved in some capacity.
Really hope so. Despite the issues I had with the TV Movie (looked good, shame about the plot.) I thought McGann was great. Love to see him on screen again.
Anyway, I like the idea of Magann [sic] appearing as part of the 50th celebrations. I enjoyed the TV movie and understand he is very good in the Big Finish productions.
I presume the idea behind him appearing would be to give legitimacy to Hurt's being the ninth incarnation, similar to McCoy's appearance in the movie. Other than that I find it a bit fanwanky (yeah, I would think it was cool, too, though).
Tom could just talk in the movie! That voice is extremely recognizable!
Think we need a narrator?
Nowt wrong with a bit of fanwankery yes, I like that idea. Mcgann was the face of the Doctor for around nine years, so I think he deserves at least a regeneration scene.
And as for Tom Baker narrating? I like the cut of your jib
That was a scene from 'Just Good Friends' between Penny's parents! It was very funny!:D
