Are there any good free video converters that run on Vista?
I've tried Freemake Video Converter. It converted 1 video okay, but then after that when I try to convert a video, the program just crashes and quits. I restarted the computer and tried it again, but the same thing happens.
I've seen Any Video Converter mentioned a lot online, but I've read that it installs Malware. http://download.cnet.com/Any-Video-Converter-Free/3000-2194_4-10661456.html
Total Video Converter sounded okay, but this review says it crashes frequently. http://total-video-converter.en.softonic.com/

The official site http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/ checks out clean with Web of Trust and is 97% clean here http://any-video-converter.en.lo4d.com/virus-malware-tests with only AVG detecting anything
I tried it myself some time ago without problems but use Freemake which I found quicker

the "nag screen" is that it connects to to the website when you first startup the program. but thats all. and you might well wish to make a small payment its so good .....
