Well......

Its that time of year - Christmas Parties. Thought I would start this thread so people could say what they were doing, if they were going or not and reasons AND of course the all important spilling of gossip!!!

I'll Start!!

Mine is next Friday. We are going on a boat down the River Thames (Brrrr Stupid Idea) and I am hoping I stay sober and sensible (not a habit of mine!!)! As only 4 females are going to 15 males I can see something happening just cannot quite predict what!!

Look forward to your stories :p

I'm a freelancer, so don't really get one. I have a bunch of invites from various vendors and client companies though, so it's not like December will be sad and lonely :)

Ours in on the 18th (I think), going to a pub for a three course Christmas dinner. Although some of us plan to go to the bar and just get completely trashed :D

    Can't wait.

I'm invited to the party at my old job, a far better experience than spending any social time with the bunch of jobsworths, cretins and miserable gits I currently work with.

I don't work any more, but I have a school mums night out and a big group of my friends and I always organise a Xmas get together, which is lovely. We've been doing it for over 10 years now and most of us have young families so it's really good ( and rare) to get all 25 of us together at one time. I also have a close family meal where 6 of us exchange presses.

I have always worked with italian women ( who dont really drink) and gay men so my work do's were fun but not gossip fodder lol!

I think mine is on the 12th.

We are going to a pub this year for a change as we normally go to Indian or Italian restaurants.

I'm planning to wear a dress and heels but I reckon I'll be overdressed....no-one to try to impress either as we are all women.

Ours is at the Music and Science fiction museum in Seattle and there's a band called Good Charlotte playing (I've never heard of them) but the science fiction museum has a new Battlestar Galactica section (old and new series) which I'm really excited about seeing sad scifi loving geek that I am.

Sometime within the next couple of weeks - a few pubs within staggering distance of work - heavy drinking - fall over - job's a good 'un.

Ours is a week on Friday but I've told them I'm not going, I have always gone before but I never enjoy them so I've decided not to go this year.

Ours is the 11th. We're going for a meal and have no plans other than that, but I daresay a few of us will end up in the pub. Judging by recent nights out with workmates, I predict drunken mayhem and loads of gossip to follow.

I shall of course be sober, sensible and tucked up in bed by 11pm. Ha! :D

Ours is on the 9th at the Corinthian bar/club/casino in Glasgow, it's a free bar as well which is something I've never been too so it should be quite amusing, it's also a themed night of music so we can dress up like anyone from the music business, I've not decided what to be like but ain't going to the extreme of two of my work mates who are dressing as Daft Punk.

We've hired out the back of a pub (last of the big spenders), free bar (for a while) and free food. The food we get is always very good! Our party is on the 16th.

Ours is on the 10th. We're going out for a christmas lunch and then we've all been given permission to take the afternoon off so we can go straight into Manchester city centre and get very drunk. No idea where we're going when we get to Manchester, however i can imagine it will all get very messy.

Ours is on 17th and it's a posh, formal do

Got a department do this Thursday but I won't be there as it's £50 a head for all you can drink but I'm virtually tee total so would be a waste of money

Ours is this Friday. The film studios are doing Narnia themed nights, so Im not sure that to expect. At least the dress code is smart casual and not linked to the theme!!
