Oh common, it's not that bad of a price hike.

Be faithful of Oxford Mail, they'll lament your loss! You don't want them to cry themselves to sleep at night, do you?

Thats what, an average of £1.40 extra per week? £5.60 per month, £291.20 per annum? Hmmm, maybe you should say good-bye.

Local rag is once a week here, 80-odd pence and they can't even spell things correctly. Its only good for seeing who's been busted or broken into. Not having it

Our local paper used to be 6 days a week at 45p per day. Now it's weekly and costs £1. And in doing so lost a lot of readers.

I never buy the local paper, it's always full of pointless trivial non-stories. One time the front page was about a local football manager eating loads of chocolate biscuits.

The Liverpool echo is 55p Monday to Friday and 70p on a Saturday for some reason.

Who buys papers any more these days anyway? Just go online

That's a big jump in the price of a newspaper. I wouldn't fork out that much extra for a newspaper.

My local paper has gone up to 55p, and there's naff all in it to justify buying it, Full of non stories that feature people with miserable faces. Read this paper and you'll never moan about the Daily Mail again!.
