Strewth. Good on him, and apparently he'll be in the West End later this year in Priscilla.

Well deserved considering all the years he's given to H&A in my opinion. Well done him. Didn't know he was due to do Priscilla, I might make the effort to go and see it now. :D

Well done to Ray, and also well done to Luke Mitchell who plays Romeo who also won an award :)

Good on him! Though I am a bit sad that Ian Smith never really stood a chance a few years ago, despite getting nominated. Home and Away sure has a great chance with these awards.

It's a shame but Neighbours rarely stands much of chance at these awards anymore. Before Packed to the Rafters came along Home and Away were winning awards left, right and centre and Neighbours never got a look in. It's a bit like how it is over here with most awards being shared between EE and CS with ED getting the odd one or two.

Good one Ray. A long time coming. Congratulations. :D

Well done, Ray! Amidst all the teenage angst, weekly explosions and constant whinging, Alf Stewart's salt of the earth attitude and hilarious sayings make him one of the very few reasons why I still bother to tune into H&A!

It's a shame Ian Smith, Stefan Dennis, Jackie Woodburne and Alan Fletcher have no chance to win a Logie as they are such great actors - miles ahead of Esther Anderson, that's for sure.

This is H&A's third Gold Logie in four years, which is an amazing achievement.

Well done Ray after 22 years in Home and Away, well deserved.

I am going to see Pricilla in Novemeber and looking forward to seeing Ray in the show. It will be quite a change from Ray playing Alf.

Thanks. Ray wasn't even on the shortlist last year - maybe next year they should shortlist Lynne McGranger and Cornelia Frances and give these great performers a chance too. It's so nice to see a deserving winner.

You're SO right. They deserve it, and I wish/hope they would/will bring back Morag to be with Marilyn...

Cornelia Frances is a National treasure
She must surely win the award for playing the most characters in different soaps if there is such a thing.

Sister Grace Scott in Young Doctors
Barbara Hamilton in Sons & Daughters
Morag Bellingham in Home & Away
    Did I miss any?
