I like the show but I do not think its necessary for it to be longer, i think it might lose viewers because of this

So Jay Hunt gets to work!

Implementing the changes that have made her the go-to-girl for exploitative junk.

If anything it needed cutting down, not extending. Already drawn out enough as it is.

I can't believe they pad it out as much as they do as it is.

65 minutes??? Jesus Christ. Still, if I was being tortured and anyone wanted to make me talk, all they'd need to do is stick me in a room with a few episodes of this on...

I record it and watch it via the PVR. Once you get rid of the intro, ads and padding, there's a decent 10-12 minutes worth watching. The change will just mean a few more stabs of the 30 sec jump button.

    Me too.

So there will now just be little more of it for me to avoid as I rarely ever tune it until approx just before/after the last ad break to see what they're left with and how it pans out.

The rest - to me anyway - is already just padding.

I'm surprised they're going to draw out this programme even more, I thought it was dying a slow death just like The Weakest Link has. Cue vt's now I predict of contestants at home giving insights into their hard luck stories a la X-factor.

I think the show is beginning to run it's course and that is why they are adapting the format.

Really, it's probably just to stick another commercial break in.

Maybe they will start new games inbetween shows and leave it on cliffhangers like Millionaire? If it's still just 1 contestant per game it will be more boring and padded out than usual.

Absolutely ridiculous! No need for it to last any more longer than it already does!

Have they not heard of the phrase if it ain't broke don't fix it? Obviously not! This will be the death of Deal and No Deal, trust me.

Poor Countdown being shafted for this drivel. If anything Countdown should be moved from 3:25-4:10 back to 3:30-4:15 again.

The show needs chopping by 15 minutes, not extending. It's excutiatingly tedious and padded out as it is. Just what can they fill the extra time with? More sob stories, more "East wing/west wing/pilgrims" nonsense, more chanting and holding hands? As if there's not enough of that crap already. It's going to be entirely unwatchable once it's padded out even more...

This will surely be the death of the show by extending it.It is already dragged out for far too long. Show could be done and would be better in a quick 30 minute format.

As they must have filmed episodes already (they run months ahead) any news on what changes there are?

It has to be more than just more chatter, surely? ]

Are they really restructuring the show format?

My guess is that it will be the same, but with less edited out
