Hi all!

I'm interested in finding out what everyone's favourite movies of the last few months have been.

Please let me know your cinema highlights, be it favourite film, actor, actress or movie moments from the last 12 months.

Looking forward to reading what DS Movies forum members think.

Cheers :)

Been a pretty poor year for movies so far in my opinion. The only two films I've left the cinema thinking 'Wow, that was brilliant!!!' have been Slumdog Millionaire and The Wrestler. There have been plenty of 'good' films, but films that I would rate higher than 7 or 8 out of 10 have been very few and far between.

The Wrestler - good to see Mickey Rourke again. I also liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

And I'm looking forward to seeing The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds which I've heard is very funny.

I don't believe there is ever a poor year for films, you just got to look in all areas of film. Every year there are amazing films and rubbish films.

So far....and in no particular order but all films I'd go and see a second time:

    Slumdog Millionaire
    Knowing
    Star Trek
    The Hangover

They were all films that surprised me - I wasn't actually expecting a lot but came away having really enjoyed them.

Only seen Star Trek and Terminator at the flicks this year. Both left me relatively cold.

I watched Awake (2008) on Sky the other week. I'd say that's the best movie I've seen this year.
