I love Joe's voice but the album just doesn't do it justice. The only song on there that really works for his voice is Superman. The rest it's like they said "Hey, you know you have a great, natural voice? Well, we thought it would be cool to auto-tune you to death and get you to falsetto everything at double speed. The kids will love it..."

His album is nearly out of the top 40 already. Why has no one bought it

Ehhhh because he's crap?? I never got that one - that was one winner that I just never could understand. He should be on the west end, he can sing- but he does not have the x factor and never did....I'd take Aiden over Joe any day of the week!

Save your words in the fridge. One day you will have to eat it.

I think part of it could be because the album just isn't Joe. It's a Scissor Sisters feat Mika album, both aritist who's recent albums didn't dovery well on their own and their the originals.

Yes - clearly all he needs to do is show his backside in Attitude and his career will be saved.
Joe could shoot a porno and he still wouldn't have any sex appeal. :o

He seems like a nice guy, albeit totally bland. But he's no popstar, and he was never going to be a success.

At least if he did a porno shoot people would know that he had passed puberty.

He needs some mucky stories leaking. They didn't do Alexandra any harm - nobody would be interested in her if she didn't have a sexy image.

I love Joe's voice and I really really enjoyed this album, one of the best ones I bought (and don't hate on me, but I do think it is better than Cheryl's current one, which I was disappointed in).

It's a solid pop album and I agree with what the NY Post said about it (http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/popwrap/listen_to_joe_mcelderry_upcoming_Qzb8d6z00veE0mRCPDcZbO).

In America, we don't know who Mika is and although we are familar with Sissor Sisters more, I can only see it with one track. But I was pretty surprise at this album. I was expecting an album of ballads, but I am glad he gave some of that but showed different things as well with his youth.

I mean Real Late Starter is great for him as well as the crazy magnificent Fahreheit. I probably wanted more ballads, but the ones there are really really good especially Superman and Wide Awake (very well chosen).

I don't know why Ambitions was chosen because there are so many great tracks to pick from. But hoping for his next single Someone Wake Me Up as I really like that one. And if there are any justice, then Superman or Real Late Starter because those MUST be released.

But Syco / Modest need to get their act together with promotion. Clearly, they are crap.

Let's be honest, he wasn't going to get anywhere in the industry was he, he was shite on the show and all his work so far has been just as bad

The judges were right when they said he would be better off in panto/ theatre.

He has no stage presence, no sex appeal, an average voice.

In a few years time he will probably end up in a soap opera.

Erm, because the album is shit? Because he sounds like a neutered cat in the lead single? Because the tweenage vote doesn't translate into album sales?

    Take your pick, really.

I would say Joe benefited more from the house-wife vote :p

Did you watch the last series because clearly this is all false?

    Here let me help.

No Regrets and this was the first live shows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Tz6QRB-7cA

And his second standing ovation in a row:

Also, here is the voting figures to prove Joe's appeal since the very beginning.

They did say he should be on the West End :)

I think the geezer can sing (hahaha geezer is probably the most ironic word I could have chosen), but he's just not my cup of tea. People get caught up in the show and think someone's fantastic comparatively but when they're in the ocean with all the other fishes they lose their appeal.

hmm let me see.. boring, cheesy and unappealing to the masses, if a yearly appearance on x factor is the only way he will get album hits into the chart, as it is coming up to a year since his singing I imagine cowell will drop him soon

He better make a sex tape soon or something before hes forgotten, although saying that...

Can you imagine him trying to act angry? :D Would be HILARIOUS.

Why he ever won in the first place is a total mystery. Simon seemed to think he could turn him into some sort of High School Musical / Glee thing. Bit of a disaster for him really. :o

Need to repost this for you as well. Only Simon and Louis said that on 1 week and out of fear on how Joe was doing every week (maintaining a strong Top 3 position), because clearly they wanted him to win and be a popstar.

The fault here is not Joe and on Syco / Modest. Shayne is a even more clear evidence.

But again, if he wasn't good, then 20th Century Fox should have not picked him to do the Narnia title track (http://www.joe-music.com/news/post/joe_records_the_title_track_for_the_new_the_chronicles_of_narnia_movie_/). Clearly they don't know what they are doing.

You may be shocked or not to know that even Joes fans, considering the major f**k ups of Syco/Sony are releived that the album is still top 40. You couldn't make it up. The album has got great reviews, BBC music homepage even NME ffs and though not worth much, even DS review.:D

Anyway Joe's haters will be pleased to know that the Americans have moved in and you won't have to worry about him anymore. 20th Century Fox have not only given him the international release of the new Narnia film theme song but have also included his new single in a different arrangement in the actual film and apparantly other offers are in the making.

Joe is destined for an international career personally I wish he'd stick two fingers up to the U.K but he's far too nice to do that and will always love his home at least the NE and North have always supported him.

Oh, thank goodness for that. Such good news and good luck to the lovely Joe!

The international version will be done by Carrie Underwood, who wrote the song. Joe's recording of the song is for the UK and Ireland versions only. This was said officially, so sadly only people in the UK will be able to hear him sing
