I thought Chantelle's exit was abit 'meh' tbh. I was expecting to be more emotional but I wasn't impressed in the way the writers wrote her exit. I felt she bonded more with Malick more than Arthur in this episode:o
Anyhow, I am going to miss Chantelle very much, she was a ray of sunshine, an optimist and she always looked for the goodness inside of people even though they were bad.
That is two exits within a month of each other that were total crap. 2 of the best characters in Holby for a long time get absolute crap for their exits. Not happy Holby.
It's so sad to see Lauren Drummond leave. I loved the character of Chantelle and have met a nurse just like her (personality wise) now I had a real soft spot for her relationship/friendship with Arthur and I found their last scene together heartbreaking.
Mr T, he is just adorable, although I wouldn't mind him with Mo, I think he is too good for Mo and he's a character I don't want to see taken for a ride. But even bigger news, Mo was doing some work this episode and lots of it too.
Did I spy Edward getting up close with Mary-Claire at the party, what a slimeball he is turning out to be.
Last time we had a character sing was Maddy? or has there been someone else I've glazed over, I only otherwise remember Lola singing (a number of times)
Chrissie/Michael - urgh, why? Years ago maybe I would have been all for this, but not now, just no.

To be fair, even when Holby was at its best nobody ever worked their notice. Anton Meyer, Alex Adams, Diane Lloyd, Connie, Faye, Joseph, Mark Williams all left at the end of the shift they resigned in. It is just one of SORs you have to accept. The only people I remember working their notice in the entire history of HC are Julie Fitzjohn, Ray Sykes, Donna Jackson, Sahira Shah and Michael Spence and the last was only so he could change his mind during that 3 months.
Well she is inspirational if your inspirations are to become are marriage wrecking **** who whilst efficient at your job in turning up on time and being clinically good also constantly jump to (usually wrong and offensive) conclusions about your Patients and their Relatives and speak to everyone in a very snide and condescending manner and also treat your Husband like he is several floors beneath you, let alone rungs then yes, she is very inspirational.
Seriously, I think that there are women (and young girls) that probably admire her for being strong and going after what she wants but I personally find that rather a sad indictment of our Society and what many consider to be a good female role model.

Sad to see Chantelle go but found her last episode a bit disappointing. I think it was because she has always been so positive and smiley and in her final episode she became more disillusioned and became fully aware of how much things have changed. I guess I felt she left on a bit of a depressing note which was felt all the more for her being an optimistic character. The scenes between her and Arthur were really well played though.
Chrissie...I just don't care.
I also thought that Joey looked like Ash from Casualty! I found the deaf father story a bit unrealistic, as I can't imagine they'd allow a child to interpret for him with issues of consent etc. However, it was quite a sweet storyline and I liked the relationship between the two of them.
I feel like a few tweaks here and there and this episode could have been a lot better.
Oh, and I hope the kazoo orchestra make a reappearance
Good point re consent and also just the possibility that the child might not translate correctly - either because they don't know the correct sign language for some of the more complicated medical terms or just because they have their own take on it, like maybe they are scared for the parent to have the operation so make it seem worse than it is? You'd think they would have signers they could hire from a specialist agency for this kind of thing. Was a sweet story though.
Chrissie has only been separated 2 minutes and she's attached herself with Michael!. Sacha did the right thing by serving the divorce papers to Chrissie.

Anyway no doubt she will swan off into the sunset on her own showing what a strong, independent woman she has become - pass the bucket :rolleyes:

I don't know about her on set but I agree with you about her acting. I acted as a child between the ages of 5 and 12 and thus do know a little about acting and I am not impressed with her. Of course, acting as a child is not the same as doing it as an adult but it does give you some idea of what constitutes good acting. She only has two expressions so far. If she has another one I have missed it!

I hate the scraped up bun style - its common. She reminds me of one of those 2 British girls caught smuggling coke (or trying to) I remember thinking "girl I wouldn't go into that prison with your hair up like that !"

She admits her mistake when she does the wrong thing with a patient or relative but she never learns from them which is what I find unforgivable. There was a scene this Spring where she said "I've done it again haven't I" when told she had made a situation worse by assuming a Patient was being beaten by their husband (with no evidence) and banning him from the Ward. Yes, Chrissie, you have and why at 40 years of age with 20 years experience and in a senior role haven't you learnt to shut up until you are sure and consult with other members of staff before shooting your mouth off by now?????
I've been catching up with Holby as I'd not watched it properly for a few months, just been watching septembers episodes and can I just say WTF is with that new F1 Zosia? She's bloody awful from what I can see so far, no likeable qualities whatsoever. Also are we really meant to believe sweet, seemingly innocent and inexperienced Arthur who bumbles like an idiot over Chantelle, had sex with Zosia in the lab at the drop of a hat. Talk about changing a characters personality in a flash, come on its just totally ridiculous.
But FFS do away with Zosia, what were they thinking?

And what you have pointed out about Digby doing the do in the lab with her is exactly what I said at the time. Digby was blatantly being portrayed as a frigid, shy, sexually inexperienced virgin who couldn't even read the 'not interested' sign put up by Chantelle he was so fixated with her being his first.
He would have run a mile if she'd (Zosia) had come on to him - that's if he picked up the signal & this is type of stuck up b!aatch that would be looking to honey trap a consultant not an F2 ffs.
