Which forums were you going to post in until you discovered the like option?
In my experience some of the busiest forums have the 'like' option. People still discuss when they have something to discuss, you just lose a lot of the 'exactly' and 'I agree' posts - but not all of them!
Jeez I can't remember, it's a long time since I was deciding to join a forum, I chose DS in the end because of it's minimalistic, more discussion less visual approach (no flashing pictures and colourful text all over the place) and the fact that it seems to be aimed at discussion rather than clicking like or dislike all over the place.
I'm sure there are other fora where people do both, it's been a long time since I looked around in search of an additional place to post.
