Are there any composers blending classical and electronic music like Daft Punk?

THE GAME HAS CHANGED - DAFT PUNK
Obviously, Daft Punk are only making a movie score so it's not as fully developed as it could be - they only scratched the surface in blending the genres together for TRON. But I would love to know if anyone out there is really delving into mixing these two genres together in full blown symphonies, operas, and other extended composition forms.
The attempts at mixing rock/metal and classical have never quite worked for me, because the instruments of rock/metal end up being too overbearing, so the classical instruments are relegated to nothing more than an accompaniment role. But by their nature, electronic sounds can be more easily shaped to fit in with traditional orchestras, and inter-play between the two types of sound would seem rather less forced.
So is anyone out there doing this? And has anyone done it well?

Wendy (Walter) Carlos - Switched on Bach + others
Isao Tomita - Snowflakes Are Dancing + others
What I'm looking for is a blend of complementary voices from both classical and electronic music, that has been fully developed in extended compositional forms.
So, a sort of Britney Spears' Toxic: The Opera.
Klaus Schulze - Lodz (Album 'Dziekuje Poland' Live 1983)
Lodz is a "live" version of Ludwig II.
Schulze is a big Richard Wagner fan.

I think Jeff Mills did something with an orchestra a while ago as well, or was that Carl Craig? Can't remember. I'll find out later
Yeah, and him

Anyway. Try this, Paul Hartnoll from Orbital did a solo album a couple of years ago, and its very good. This is the first track and is likely exactly what youre looking for. Its indicative of what is on the rest of the album too...
