The last 45 seconds of 'Love's About To Change My Heart' by Donna Summer sends shivers up my spine & makes me feel all weepily emotional for some bizarre reason.:cry:

Feel ashamed to admit that I forgot to add my favourite song of all time to my original list!

Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXMES9OcSIc

Discovered it in my dads car when I was about 11, and ever since has been confirmed as my favourite song.

    It reminds me of home.

The two that spring to mind at the moment are Bruce Springsteen's The River and Melissa Etheridge's An Unexpected Rain.

Video Games is easily my favourite song of the last 5 years. Impossible for me to get tired of this song and I genuinely do believe it will be viewed as an all time classic song in the years to come. Haunting melodies, beautiful arrangement, beautifully sung and so different to anything in the charts these days. The amazing thing is she followed up this astonishing piece of music with a song almost equally as good - Born To Die.

    Two songs for me

Samantha Preis - Die For Me

Had me utterly mesmerised when I first heard it and genuinely did make me shudder - and still does.

Joslyn - Used To (Chill Version)

Actually had to buy this from iTunes as I couldn't get it anywhere else. Just a totally haunting song about a lost love - still gives me the shivers.

Weirdly, the uptempo original version does nothing for me!

This song always gives me a shiver down my spine, its very emotional and often brings a tear to my eye. It reminds of the first time me and some special were intimate together fr the first time, This song was playing in the back ground, giving an almost fairy tale moment.

I just discovered these guys on Youtube - beautiful song and beautiful harmonies on the chorus (reminds me very slightly of Crosby Stills and Nash).

God, how I love Youtube. I went on looking for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Pie Jesu (after someone mentioned him on the worst songs thread) and I found a version of it sung by an amazing soprano called Sissel. From that I found a gorgeous duet she did with Espen Lind, who I'd never heard of before but I'm now a big fan.
