Yes, it's on 528 or 544 depending on whether the HD swap applies. I understand this is now testing on Virgin.

These are due to launch by end June 2015

The listing is correct as it is based on must launch dates incorporated either within the original licence award or the formal licence granted by Ofcom shortly before a station goes on air. No formal licence has been granted for either the Manchester or Preston & Blackpool stations as yet and therefore the must launch date remains as set out in the original licence award document (although now exceeded).

The end June date to which you refer is simply when That's TV says it expects to be able to launch the stations, it is not an official Ofcom requirement regarding launch. Indeed the last that was heard was that Ofcom was still in discussion with the formal licence holder (Your TV). Until those discussions are complete or there is any formal announcement the official must launch date remains as stated.

That's TV also have a poor record as regards their anticipated launch dates. That's Solent had an original Ofcom must launch date of 22 October 2014 but didn't launch until 26 November. That's Oxford had an initial must launch date of 5 November 2014 - that has been twice postponed with the current date Thursday this week. In its original applications That's TV claimed an anticipated launch date for both stations of 1 January 2014. I would therefore take the June date with a pinch of salt - a large one!

This is just a wild guess but I wonder is it for TV3+1. It launched on UPC Ireland a couple of months ago.

I wonder where Viacom will place Spike in the EPG. Can't see them being happy with it launching in the nosebleeds. What channel could be shuffling down to let it in? I can easily see them moving Comedy Central+1 down to let it launch beside MTV at 127.

Going from 2/3 to 5/6 at an SR of 27500 will free up a fair bit of bandwidth, from 33.79mb to 42.2mb, that’s a fair increase. Quick calculations make that for every four DVB-S TP’s changed it could free enough bandwidth for closing a single DVB-S TP and Sky need to save a few quid.

A quick tot up makes 16 DVB-S TP's Sky rented (including 3x D band Spots on 10.744H, 10.876V and 10.921H), so this could free up three of them. Some expats on the fringes will need to improve C/N or fall 'off the edge' of coverage.

Are SES Astra letting broadcasters have a field day with FEC? If they all pushed the boat out like this it would be quite interesting to see where we end up with it all!

42.2Mbps is almost as much as a DVB-S2 TP under normal parameters!
