Don't say I didn't warn you... http://www.list.co.uk/article/61792-piers-morgan-lands-new-itv-deal/
Piers Morgan has landed a new contract with ITV.

The 'Life Stories' host is set to extend his partnership with the channel just months after his US talk show, 'Piers Morgan Live', was axed by CNN.

Piers will front a brand new series of 'Life Stories', expected to run for six episodes, and various factual shows next year under his new deal.

And...
Unlike his current deal with ITV, however, the new contract won't be exclusive, which means the former newspaper editor is free to work for other British broadcasters as well.

Nooooooooooo! I was hoping he would stay in America! :o>:(:(

Can't Theresa May invoke the 'not conducive to the public good' rule and prevent him re-entering?

Only if he has citizenship of another country.

Will the last person to leave please turn off the lights ? Morgan has the unique distinction of being sacked as editor of not one national newspaper but two.

I don't think he qualified for US citizenship either as you have to live there for 7 years to get it, or was he there that long?

Guess who's got a new job:

    http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/sep/30/piers-morgan-joins-mail-online

Piers Morgan and the Daily Mail. That should infuriate a good portion of the Broadcasting forum.

He's had a column in that organ for some time which probably explains why its circulation is declining weekly. The column is mainly about.....Piers Morgan.

He regularly uses the column to attack England cricket captain Alastair Cook on behalf of his friend Kevin Pietersen

I can't wait to see how the crowd over in General Discussion will react to that one :D They'll be out there with the pitchforks! Does that mean Piers is back in Britain then?

Oh I hope not! I really like David Walliams, he's funny :D I'll stop watching BGT if Piers Moron is on it next year.

In fairness he wasn't sacked from the News of the World, he left of his own choice. And his departure from CNN was not a sacking, his contract and show were not renewed as he had alienated a lot of America.
Never thought I'd see the day when I defended Piers Morgan!

Well I do suppose he has to answer questions about phone hacking

All it takes is ONE e-mail (like the Andy Coulson "Do his phone" smoking gun)
    and PM gets banged up.

Can we set up a crowdfunding project to supply extra temps to help the police go through EVERY email ever sent at the Mirror. It will raise millions.

I like his style of broadcasting and "tell it like it is" attitude. His probing questioning and interview style is, I feel, lacking in a lot of interviewers who are more concerned with kowtowing to the 'celebrity'. I have read his autobiographies, and enjoyed them immensely.
