Removing Homegroup heading in Win Exp (W8.1)

I only use one modern computer and so have no use for Homegroups. I have removed myself from the automatically created homegroup but the heading still appears in the Navigation Pane of Windows Explorer.

As I like to keep my screens as simple as possible, is there any way to remove this and just leave OneDrive, This PC and Network?

Go into services, stop the 2 Homegroup Services mentioned in the article then set the service startup type to disabled for both.

This certainly worked for me under Win10 so I would have thought 8.1 would be the same.

Yes, that sorted it, thanks. Booted up twice since and no Homegroups heading.
