Succesful long-running/broken up bands that didn't produce any succesful solo artists

Just might be fun to list some.

And I define succesful as at least having one top five single. That's MO but subjective I suppose.

While I consider Hoffs to be hugely underrated in her singing ability, I feel, like most bands, that they were better together than apart.

Spandau Ballet - they had a string of hits in the 1980's and were at one time one of the biggest bands around. I remember a comment from someone (journalist I think) who said whilst Spandau were together as a band, that he thought that if Tony Hadley went solo he'd do well. I know Tony Hadley did have a solo career but in my opinion it never really took off.

All Saints, although 2 of them did get to #2 with Appleton, their highest solo single reached #6.

You're wrong. Agnetha Faltskog had three UK Top 40 singles and a No.12 album with My Colouring Book in 2004.
