I don't know some of the celebrities, but that doesn't deter me from watching - it's top quality entertainment either way.
I know Ricki Lake, Hope Solo, Chaz Bono, Elisabetta Canalis and David Arquette. I also know Rob Kardashian and Kristin Cavallari, because I'm partial to a bit of trash tv
I've never heard of her, but from the comments on here and some Youtube research, I think Nancy Grace might be rather fun!
Yes you can. Just register with the ABC website - they only want a zip code and I always use 90210 lol.:D
I like that! However, seeing as we will be seeing it later in the week on this side of the pond, I suppose you would have to vote without seeing the show - easy enough for me, I would be voting for Tristan and Nancy!!
Not sure if anyone is interested but here is the rehearsal footage. Since I am not sure if you can see ABC clips this one continuous clip. Men first and then women.

For anyone who is following Tristan especially in Ireland I have a couple articles and I will post if interested or maybe start a thread for those who want to follow him while in the US. He guested on Nancy's show last night and a few others so it was Tristan overload.
Evidently Tristan auditioned for SCD but was turned down and got DWTS instead so I guess it worked out for him.
I just wanted to say also for the people who are upset at all the Chaz Bono controversy that Chaz is getting his chance to speak and call attention to his platform of gender dysphoria. He has been making the rounds of the talk shows and his support is swelling. Right now they are organizing a dance part for Monday night's premiere in support of him on FB. I don't think he would have gotten this opportunity to speak publically on this issue if he had not signed for DWTS even with the controversy. So in the end it has been a good thing for him even with the controversy because it calls attention to just how narrow minded people can be. Perhaps many will be enlightened and learn to be more tolerant.
Of course people have very strong opinions and there will be those against him and what he is doing but he is also getting much support from other groups.
By the way Nancy has had nothing but positive things to say about Chaz. She says he is lovely and people should focus on his dancing. Just saying for anyone who thinks Nancy is against Chaz because that is no so. I realize a lot of people do not like Nancy and while they certainly have valid reasons she has been not been negative or judgemental towards Chaz

Oh, please... She's the daughter of Sonny & Cher. She could speak before a joint assembly of Congress if she wanted to. Why is it that tolerance only seems to be expected to go one way? People who who live normal, active lives, well within the mainstream are always expected to be tolerant of those who chose not to, but those outside the norm are encouraged to do everything they can to trample the beliefs and life choices of those who do not share their views. In my experience, tolerance means, "I can do anything I want, no matter how deviant it may be, and you will either embrace it or be labled a bigot."
And Ricki Lake? I noticed that her bio for the show pointedly avoided mentioning that her talk show got a guy killed and another guy send to prison for murder. Did she really say that she's going to have another talk show? Now that is really scary. Besides which, she falls into that group of people who have no business being on the show; professional dancers. Just like Jennifer Grey, she has a history of making her living in dance. How is that fair to the rest of the cast, who are true amatuers?
This season looks like it's time for a name change: Dancing With the Children and Siblings of the Stars Plus a Few Others That Nobody Knows. We have the brother of the Arquette sisters, the brother of the Kardashian sisters, the daughter of Michelle Phillips from the Mommas and the Pappas, the daughter of Sonny and Cher, ...
Yeah, yeah, I know already. "If you don't like it you can watch something else." The standard answer for all of you couch potatoes who don't care what's on; as long as the boobtube works you're going to be plopped down in front of it, no matter how pathetic it gets.
I realize I should have posted my comments about Chaz on his thread.
Perhaps you should bring your comments about Chaz over to the Chaz Bono thread also. There is a lively discussion going on there with differing opinions.

Trouble working out who the rest are....but this helps.
Thanks Lili
Tristan - am liking
Nancy - she's going to be interesting! Did she say she was donating her fee??

Carson "...I have two left feet and one has a bunion..."
Even though he will bring the comedy this year I think he may turn out to be a fairly good dancer.
I agree and hope he stays in a while. I wonder if we'll be able to vote online from the UK this season?
I like that! However, seeing as we will be seeing it later in the week on this side of the pond, I suppose you would have to vote without seeing the show - easy enough for me, I would be voting for Tristan and Nancy!!
That's what I use, as it's the only one I can think of
***Waves to FT***
I haven't voted since the lovely Ty was on (*blushes*), but I've just logged on without any problem!
Coming on line to do that right now. Sorry for the creepy ads but these photos are much larger than the ABC thumbnails.

I'm interested!
Thanks Lili
I like Carson - he seems good fun - and Tristan (for the accent and general yum-value )
I found the Val and Elisabetta clip a bit cringy  - but perhaps I was just feeling her embarassment....
