Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman present a night to remember on the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom floor. The competition is at melting point as the six surviving couples pivot, twist and turn to keep the glitter ball trophy in their sights.
Voting lines open at the end of the show; once the judges' scores have been added to viewer votes, the two lowest-scoring couples will perform again in the dreaded dance-off during Sunday's results show.
Dances in spoiler:
The Swing-a-thon also returns to the show this week. For those who don't know, it's a Jive/Lindy Hop endurance-type contest where all the couples dance on the floor at once and which lasts for up to three minutes. The judges call out couples one by one who then leave the floor until only one is left. The winner gets 6 points added to their total score, second place 5 points, and so on.
Enjoy the quarter-finals! We're winding down to the finish now...

Waiting with baited breath for the dress run pics
Me too, the girls always look gorgeous.
I hope Patrick's rumba is better than his own reservations suggest.
I think there are a few dances I will be watching from behind a cushion holding my breath this week & Patrick is one of them.
Tonight will be the first test, for me anyway, of the changes to the DS forum format. Can't help feeling it will be a bit harder to 'watch and browse'.
Yeah, although I am using the fan skin 'DS Old-Style' on chrome (thanks Pet Monkey), I think I may close the browser and just concentrate on the TV screen tonight.
Potential dance order (per blog)
Susanna
Abbey
Patrick
Natalie
Ashley
Sophie
Looking forward to Abbey and Sophie most of all tonight, but it's going to be a crucial show for sure.
Wow bravo you. I have done everything online so far...dead chuffed.
I really don't like the new forum format.
I am however really looking forward to the dancing.
Ooh an exciting evening ahead me thinks!
Got to say, I somewhat nervous though, hard to say who will go tonight
Thanks for the thread.
Totally agree about the forum, I don't know if it's not broke don't fix it >:(
Why don't you watch live on the i-player DB? ;-)

Does anyone have a cure for black right hand stripe of death?
I've looked, switched the computer off and on (always important) can't find anything to cure it. Just the whole right edge chopped off.
You can watch it live on Iplayer
Evening all.
confused me an' all.
