When i put a dvd/cd in my computer and click play, it shows 2 folders, Audio TS and Video TS,
On another computer the disk plays, any ideas why it doesn't play on my laptop?

Then when you click on Video_TS it should play.

Have you checked your AutoPlay settings?

If it's Windows 8, you might need DVD software. Try vlc.

Windows 8 has dropped the ability to play dvd's by default since virtually no one used the facility and it allows them to save a few bucks on licensing fee's from what i remember

I think a lot of people used it - has often come up and had to sort it out for them!

inside the video ts folder there should be a single file also called "video ts". if u click on that it should start your default dvd player whatever that is.

re above remarks i thought autoplay was working on my own win8 pc ......

VLC struggles with DVDs with some drives. It takes over a minute to play DVDs in my Blu-Ray drive. I did read that VLC has problems playing DVDs with some newer drives. This might be different to what the first poster's experiencing though.
