I was thinking this whole thing was a wind up ... blimey.
£140 for a 7" tablet with 800x480, 512mb ram, 4gb storage and a 1.2gHz CPU .... that would have been reasonable spec 2 years back. not such good a deal now. Lidls do better deals ...
Have now bought it so you might see me swinging through the trees as I text, mail and photo capture - altogether with postage £45. If I find I like and use a tablet then I can upgrade to a better one in the future.

Better off getting something better to start with - if you don't like it then at least you can sell it and get some money back.

The problem with buying a cheap low spec item to begin as a trial, is that you're going to get a less than optimal experience. If you're judging whether you'll like it, you're making that judgement on something that won't give you the same quality of experience as a better quality tablet - even something like a Tesco Hudl, which is relatively cheap would have been a better place to start!

As we can see here http://www.reviewcentre.com/Online-Electronic-Shops/Chimp-Electronic-Ltd-www-chimpelectronics-org-reviews_2258860, the company and products do get mixed reviews to say the least - caveat emptor.

I'd like to know how they can check or enforce that.
