Does anyone have any info/pictures of the jumbo jet at the Top Gear track? We see this every week and I often wonder why it's there. It has very unusual double engines that I've never seen before.I think I read somewhere that it was used in a James Bond movie but I don't know which one,I think it was also used in an episode of "Primeval" other than that it's a mystery aircraft.

Its a Boeing 747 isn't it? Ex Air Atlanta Europe, IIRC. Its been used in Casino Royale, one of the Batman films, Da Vinci Code and all sorts of TV work. I
It's an ex-BA jumbo that had its engines modified for Casino Royale as DFI stated.
It's owned by Aces Aviation

I assumed it was there for cabin crew training. Never occurred to me it's use as a TV/Film prop.
It also serves as a good advert as it's always in the background on test laps with Dunsfold Park written on the side.
Wondering if that's the Stig or Clarkson in the car[Ferrari?]?
