Del Rey is working with the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach on her new album, "Ultraviolence." While a release date has not been announced for the set, sources say it won't reach retailers before June.
That's the second time I've read something along those lines so I guess Lana was being a little ambitious with that May 1st claim. Still, if it comes out just in time for the end of my exams and the start of summer, I'll be well happy.
Doesn't surprise me the albums coming a little later than we were expecting, but hey as long as its not a Tropico style wait of it being 6 months delay eh!? I think it will be worth the wait though.
And it has been rather stunningly unexpected to hear Gods and Monsters in edited minus F word lines form being used in Eastenders ads:o:D.
The track works for the EE promo, sounds great and it was in the iTunes top 100 a few days ago - not sure where it is now.
It's currently climbing the Top 100 and was at #44 when I last saw. Really surprised but so happy as I love the track. Hope it makes the Top 40 on Sunday.
Video for West Coast is coming really soon. It'll be interesting to see what she has in stroe for us. I actually like the hypnotic simplicity of the audio vid thing.
I never watch snippets of music videos, I like to wait for the whole thing. But hasn't West Coast been "coming soon" for weeks already? Starting to get frustrated, tbh.

But it should come out now immediately, at the latest, Monday.
After the glorious excesses of Tropico she was always going to come back to earth with the next video and its looking like she's done that pretty stylishly in smooth moody black and white with this one. OK lets see what wonderful ride she takes us on this time.
And yes what would a Lana video be without young/older boyfriends! We just suck these videos up as entertainment but it does make you think what is she really saying as they all seem to represent men who she has dated in her private life.

Yeah i think with Lily Allen then Coldplay in May pretty much owning the charts then a June release for Ultraviolence will be all set for it...West Coast sounds beautiful on theradio.
gave both BTD and Paradise EP a play when i came in from work...gosh i cannot wait to see this artist continue tio blossom and grow. Cannot wait for Ultraviolence.

According to Mr Auerbach, Ultraviolence was recorded in jut 2 weeks! Plus he calls her 'the real deal' and admits they 'bumped heads' several times during the recording process
