if the OP does go with that just to add a note that item will have an americal plug so it would be best to get a plug for an electric shave to plug in to the mains
I depends really... if he has specifically asked for the iPod Touch, it might be a waste of money looking for a similar one. I assume he has seen all the shiny adverts advertising all the apps and extras available on the Touch, and as far as I know there are no other systems out there such as the iPod + iTunes + App store combo apple have got going.
Just thinking he might be in for a let down! But of course, if it is you buying it he should be grateful for anything he gets
If you get him anything else it will not be as good and I guarantee he will be dissapointed.
Nothing is as good.
Not strictly true; I do like my iPod Touch, but its sound quality via headphones isn't exactly stellar, and the touch screen can be a right royal PITA with its "accuracy".
Screen isn't quite as gorgeous as my ancient Nokia 770.
Definitely go the Apple refurb route though - i've done that before a few times, and they're always as good as new.
I recently purchased an iPod Touch and to begin with didnt see the fuss. Now however id be lost without it. The apps can be gimmicky, but in general its a very solid and well thought out piece of kit which is going to get better with the new OS update. Its a tad expensive for what it is...thats the only thing id complain about.
