  Well they sold it off & it is now private, so it's up to the owners, not some stupid Tory MPs.
  
  If they wish to rename it, they should first renationalise it!

  "Heathrow" is one of the UK's top 10 recognised brands, I cannot for the life of me seeing any of our directors supporting changing the company name (and all that entails) to one as divisive as Thatcher.
  
  She was a great PM, albeit with a chequered record but this drivel coming from the right is beyond parody now.:eek:

  Why don't they just change everyone's surname to Thatcher by Deed Poll?
  
  Or rename the Conservative Party as the Margaret Thatcher Party...

  George best (Belfast ) and John Lennon (Liverpool )

  I believe we should rename everything (airports, buildings and people) as "Margaret Thatcher" - being able to distinguish them by issuing EU valid ID cards.

  Hehehe, that would be a media story. The pilots dont know the 'names' of the airports. They would type in BFS-LPL then LPL - LHR. The plane practially does the rest.
